Excessive Road Noise? Howling/humming sound

Replaced the tires once and it got mildly better. Replaced the rims next and that fixed it. It's a resonation noise that happens at certain speeds inside the tire. Poor wheel design in combo with the primacy tires is the cause.

got a 2024 sportage. It has the same problem. Really outrageous that kia has not solved this HUGE problem..

Road noise is the result of most cars these days having larger rims with lower profile tyres.

I got my car back, and I guess the 7th time was a charm, and having a one on one with the dealership general manager. After they replaced the wrong hub bearing, they finally got around to replacing the proper one and she runs just like when she was new. 10/10 would buy the car again, just would have to find a better service department…..

So your problem was the bearing? I can’t decide whether to replace bearing or new wheel set tires
