EK1Pro Tune - Sixth Element

We are willing to work with any tuners, they can apply through our website.

I can't provide an ETAs, but we are testing now. Once we confirm with all testers, we will publish the update.

Its been a while since i have been excited about something for the stinger :)

Interested in the TCU tuning option. I have been looking at one of the Lozic TCUs for a while, mostly because if I had to take it in for warranty work I would be able to swap the TCU out for the stock TCU in no time at all. Will Sxth tuning of the TCU be able to revert to a factory state for any warranty work? Leaving anyone else none the wiser?

You can flash back to stock, but I do not recommend modifying your car if you are at all concerned about warranty. If there is an issue with the transmission it would be fraudulent to revert or obfuscate changes.

If you unlock the ECU, if you revert it back to stock, does it put the lock back on? If not, can Kia tell if it has been unlocked?

I'm willing to accept the possibility of having to pay for any work in the case of a warranty claim denial, just asking for the sake of having the information, if nothing else.

It would be impossible to tell that the TCU was flashed as it does not contain a flash counter and the CVN is corrected.
That's correct. However if you have stage 3 banger downshifts then the techs will most likely say something during the test drive lol.

You're giving an awful lot of credit to Kia techs...
Maybe I am. However if I did a test and said find the car with the harshest downshifts then im pretty sure they will find the tuned tcu right away. Maxed out Lap3 and Lozic don't exactly have the smoothest of downshifts (based on the many complaints that I read).
Personally I could care less since my car is salvage title and I don't have a warranty regardless but those with a warranty might want to do some research before they take their car in for transmission issues. And no, I'm not saying that a tcu tune will mess up your trans. If it's tuned right then your trans will be fine, however your dealer may start playing the blame game if they suspect you tuned your tcu.

just to make sure i understand. just an example of what is in my mind.

with the ek1 pro. i can save different tunes on a sd drive and switch out between tunes whenever i want? basically like switching jb4 maps "in a way" ?

i can have a e85 + 91 tune or also a 91 tune or maybe a tune that makes my car pop crackle and bang?

i am indeed a little or a lot illiterate (spelled that wrong, maybe?) so i just want to make sure i understand because i would 100% buy this product (currently looking for the most convenient ecu and tcu tune that comes with power and ak-47 popcorn abilities).

how different would this be compared to a lozic tune?

You are exactly right, the files are small and it's just a matter of clicking the one you want on the 8" screen and uploading it. A lozic tune is just a one shot deal. If you wanted something different, the ECU would have to go back to Korea.
I have 3 tunes I flip around. A really solid street tune great for 93 and Meth. A really mean one I've used at the track and got my 10.9x, and now I'm experimenting with one for E-50, but I've run as high as 65 so far with no issues.

I mean, I've talked to Lozic about this specifically to try and get him on board, and while he was not against it, without saying too much it seems like he has some stuff in the works as well. He was interested in this idea though so it may be possible he just wants to see some more of it in the wild before he jumps on board. That was my interpretation of what he said anyway.

where did you find the tunes you currently have? also since it can flash and revert the ecu back to normal is buying a spare really worth it? i looked on the website and saw two different options on buying a spare ecu and dont know what to really click.

how much did you pay for the whole thing? seems alot more worth it to just buy this then any other tune in my opinion but dont really know if these tunes are pretty equal or completely different then lap 3 or lozic

All the tunes come from Sxth. You have a great point on buying a spare. Come to think about it, a great path would be to send your stock one in just so it can be unlocked. That should be a quick turn around. From there, he can just email you whatever stage you want. Before you flash it though, you can pull your stock one out and save it. This way you can go back and forth with as many as you want.
Keep in mind he is working on remote unlocking which would take one step of that out. The other thing already mentioned but worth bringing up again is BMS. Terry signed up to be partner with Sxth. That means the availability of options has just doubled. You can get a JB tune that's been validated by Sxth, and you can choose to get that one as a flash. I paid retail on the EK1 which I think was north of $800...

It would do nothing but increase his sales and exposure. By signing up as a "Tuner" for Sxth and the EK1, people can now purchase a Lozic style tune and just flash their own ECU in minutes. That's what Terry just did from BMS.

Thats pretty sick honestly. seems like the most bang for your buck in my opinions especially with bms partnering and all that.

with the ek1. is that all you needed to buy? are the tunes sold separately? also any chance you could upload a picture or video of the screen and features? would be a big help honestly just to get a better idea for us literate people that like pictures and drawings lol.

This is exactly what Cobb has going for VW/Audi. My son owns like 6 different tunes. Some from Cobb, Sneaky, EQT, etc. all take into account his mods but all have different characteristics. He can switch in the matter of a few minutes with the Cobb accessport. If BMS, Lap3 and Lozic would all get on board with Sxth, we would be set. With a tune price of say $299, plus extra for adjustments, etc., we could all go nuts.
