Downpipes..ARK vs JunBL

I am currently debating on which downpipes to get for my Kia stinger gt1..the ARK performance downpipes or JunBL..
the difference in downpipes are in price..ark(450$) JunBL (640$)
But i personally think the JunBL will give my car deeper sound than the ARK downpipes
Any comments to help me decide?

Sound will not change. Go with the cheapest deal.

I have the ARK dps. They work amazing. The truth of the matter is it isn't going to matter which ones you get. So go with the cheaper one. ARK is still a great brand and my downpipes seem to have been quality crafted. Nice material, and good welds.

Different downpipes will all have the same sound since all it is is a big metal pipe that replaces your cats. Your turbos are going to spool on much faster and torque will increase with any downpipes. I think they all do the exact same on the dyno as well including the SSRs.

^Agreed with all of the above. Get the cheapest, and get the one with the biggest diameter. So far, biggest I've seen is 2.5", and the cheapest ones, OBX (surprisingly), have this same diameter. Get those cheap ass OBX pipes and get the exact same performance as all us other fools who bought name brand shyte. Lol. Seriously.

If I were to do it again, I definitely would've gotten the OBX pipes and saved a few hundred over the ARK's.

There is a chance that the raspy vibration he is getting could be from the down pipe fitment. If I had to do it again though I’d probably take a chance on the OBX pipes as well as they’re half the price.

Someone was arguing that the only difference between AWD and RWD is the location of the mounts? I have no reference (RWD here, using stock downpipes), just found that curious as it seems the AWD would need different routing to clear the transfer shaft....

In my case there are no brackets on my midpipes because the previous owner broke them.

So will the OBX AWD pipes pretty much fit the RWD exhaust pipes but the mounting tabs will not line up? Anyone try?

When I was talking to Ultimate Performance about their downpipes, they said the only difference between AWD and RWD are the location of the transmission mounting brackets. The pipes themselves have all the same bends/dimensions.

If this is true, and I have no reason whatsoever to doubt them, then the AWD version should fit the RWD chassis - just the mounts won't line up.

I guess you could cut off the mounts, install the pipes, and have a shop weld in the mounts at the correct location for you.

AWD vs RWD pipes are in fact the same other than the bracket for trans location

It's been a while since I've done any exhaust mods, so sorry if this is a dumb question but - will catless downpipes cause an emissions test fail?
