Does anyone have lateral movement in their brake pedal?

Hi All

I love my Stinger but have one issue that annoys me and is unnerving.

My brake pedal has some lateral movement / sideways free play. Probably between 5-10mm. It means that there is a lack of feel when braking and is off-putting - I know the pedal will work but it is not confidence inspiring.

At my first service the they said it was noticeable but is no different to any other Stinger. I’ve never had it in any other car.

I wanted to check if anyone else had the same issue?

I will say in many thousands of miles i have not noticed this.

What car did you come from?
Maybe the fit and finish of the pedal was superior to kias stuff.
Just spit balling as i come from janky beaters

My old Regal has this, but that thing is 20 years old. My Stinger does not. Unless i'm just not sensitive to it because the Regal is so bad.

Mine has as much play as yours, maybe more. Probably just a loose screw, seems typical for this car for things just to loosen up way easier than they should.

If my brake pedal has side play and I haven't noticed it in over three years, maybe I have a screw lose. Hah.

yep, I got last years model. Does have the same movement. Took it to Kia and they said it was normal. It is irritating.
