Same I bought mine in Feb 2018Can't tell if it's only for the Russian market or worldwide. I know mine was made in South Korea since it was made 1/18/18 and they didn't start production in Russia until May 2018.
They say one of the things to avoid talking about is politics,

By comparison a lot of BMW's for the Australian market were built in South Africa but the quality was typically German. Who cares where it was built.Doesn’t matter who assembled it as long as they did a good job.
The first character of the VIN also identifies the country of origin - Korea = K.
Looks like company Avtotor started Stinger assembly in Kaliningrad in Spring 2018, and they assemble a number of other KIA models as well as some BMW, Genesis and Hyundai. It's possible that most or all of their output is for domestic Russian consumption, but the VIN for a Russian built car should start with an 'X'.
Edit: Looks like business is booming ....
AVTOTOR has tripled car production within the first half of the year
There's a 25% tariff on cars produced in Korea shipped to the US, last I checked there were no tariffs on Russian made cars being shipped here.... weird right? Sure it's just a coincidence.Agree. The production coming out of that factory wont be to supply the markets of this side of the world.
Not sure, from what I can tell it was still on the table in December.I thought they worked out a deal and that is no longer an issue.
