Do you have a favorite brand for Ceramic Coating?

At least five-six years and the PPF has a ten year warranty.
Spectacular gloss there Flame. Love that color. Ceramics, as with any coating, will almost always make the bright deep colors look their best. I really wanted a color like this but went with silky silver to hide dirt. That being said, I am OCD about the car as well and really like cleaning it. I used the Gtechniq CSL a year ago and see no drop off in performance.

Good to hear, I'll be doing my own with CSL soon. Did you use EXO as well? How'd you go about prepping for the coating?

I’ve used CSL on several cars from brand new to used. The same preparation steps apply even for a new car. You just have to do more work on “used paint” to prep the surface.......wash, clay, wash, polish with Meg’s rubbing compound, wash with Dawn to remove all wax contamination, wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Use only microfiber towels. If the car is new and the surface is still relatively pure, you probably won’t need the clay and can only lightly polish the paint. The key is to remove all defects and debris because once the ceramic coating goes down, they will be there under the coating as long as it lasts......years.

I did not use Exo but have used the C2V3 to keep the surface fresh.......basically a reload.

Good luck! Post pics when done!

I came from a Silver looking Optima ( satin metal was the official name ) yes, they do hide the dirt well and any stone chips etc. Nearly bought a Snow White Pearl but when I test drove the Micro Blue, loved the colour. Yep, she's shows the dirt more but I don't regret getting that colour.

Curious to know how much it cost to have it ceramic coated professionally. I know it is a lot more than DIY kits but I just don’t have the time for all that is needed to put in on right.
It cost me the amount of the coating ($65). Professionally it will cost many hundreds of dollars up to, and possibly surpassing $1000, depending on the amount of preparatory work needed.

My car required four days just for paint correction as there were calcium deposits on her from waiting in the holding yard and someone had used a brush and caused swirl marks and scratches. Then PPF and then ceramic coated, all up the detailers had her for nine days and it cost me just under $3,200 au.
Even though that is a lot of money, I don't regret it, she looks great and ended up looking better than any car they had on the dealership show room.

It comes out roughly to $2190.00 usd. That's a reasonable price for quality coating (w/paint correction) and service. I'll be spending around that much as well. I can just imagine how great looking shine it is.

With the White Pearl, ceramic coating will not help much with the depth and shine, but more with the hydrophobic property & easier cleaning?

It depends on the work, paint correction, and grade of the ceramic coating (and if single or multiple layers). When done right your white will shine deep and bright.

I'll have some pricing/research to do.
Thanks

I've used Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax. It's great, but I'm looking for one that is applied maybe once a year.
