Delivery time for a new Stinger

I have a 2019 ceramic silver GT2 AWD and I'm considering upgrading to a 2022 GT2 with the scorpion package. I'm also considering changing to RWD since I have another car I can drive in the snow. Does anyone have experience as to how long it took for their Stinger to be delivered once they placed their order from the dealer? I was told 90-120 days by one of my local dealerships but I find that hard to believe considering the semiconductor shortage. From my experience dealerships have a tendency to tell you anything to get you to sign on the dotted line. I don't want to wait 6-12 months. And I'm not going to pay some crazy mark up for a Stinger that is already on the lot. If anyone can tell me how long they had to wait it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

I ordered Feb.5th was told 4 to 6 month wait. So I’ll let you know in 6 mo. Lol . I myself am skeptical on 6 months even but with the mark ups and distance I’d have to travel or pay for delivery, I’m willing to wait it out. Good luck!

Did you have to pay a mark up when you ordered? The local dealer (The Kia Store) where I bought my 2019 told me I had to pay a $3995 mark up fee even if I ordered a new car. I told them that is outrageous and then politely told them to go screw themselves lol.

Ordered my Stinger in Brisbane first week of September 21. Was told that each dealership was only allowed to order 1 Stinger per month and wait time was long.

I generally call Kia direct each month for any update and last week was told mine would be here end of April and was given a Vin Number so very happy.

Mine will be White with red interior.

Hope this helps others with their orders.

I ordered mine in mid January and apparently its at the port as of yesterday, so basically 3 months. I'm in Vancouver Canada. Ordered a GT Elite ghost grey.

At least a few times a month I'd check out the stinger inventory from the place I bought mine from. For the last few weeks they had a single gt1 in stock. As of a last week, they're down to none. That's not to say more are not on the way, but at one point they had 9 or more.

Perhaps in 2023, which I bet is the last model year, the Stinger will switch to a super low volume car sold based on orders mostly…

I’ve ordered a Stinger and a Sportage at the end of November. At the time of ordering we got an Eta for the Sportage of June and the Stinger for July.

Our dealer has been very good with keeping up up to date about every stage of the order/production steps and the Stinger should now arrive at the dealership next week. So two months early.

The Sportage still has not been allocated a production slot, but are now hoping for a july/August delivery.

So it seems quite hard to predict eta’s for Kia as some come early and some later.

We payed a $1000 AUD deposit when we ordered.

Here in iowa I drove a couple hours to Order mine as I didn’t like my local dealership. The dealership I went to ( in iowa also) were asking for $500 deposit. After filling out my order they waived my deposit for choosing their dealership over my local one and driving so far. “That’s what I was told anyway” but who knows. Anyhow was told 4 to 6 month wait. Fingers crossed it doesn’t surpass the 6 month mark.

No deposit required and no markups. I was just notified that my order for a 2022 stinger will not be built before they turn into the 2023 models.

further confirmation of 2023s. would be nice to know if theres any new colors or special editions. looking at a 2020 GT1 this weekend for $40K, otherwise new GT2s which are all at $52K

That's exactly what I have, and I can't believe how good it looks and drives - just a superb machine! Bought it brand new last November, a 2022.

Only mods I've done are wheels and tires, and do not plan on anything else - it is nearly perfect as-is for a Gran Tourismo.
