DBA street performance front brake pads installed with Brembo shims

Hi, today I've installed new rotors and DBA street perf. pads on 3.3 AWD BUT I took Brembo shims from old pads and installed it on new DBA pads, now I see Brembo pads have additional 3M sticker to compensate shim level so that brake piston fits to the pad. I should remove old Brembo shims from DBA pads, right?

I've never had to use old shims on new pads for my stinger. If the DBA pads were designed and manufactured properly you shouldn't need the old shims. The new pads should have everything they need out of the box.
