@Nasscar all good, over here on the main freeway’s trucks have to keep out of the right lane.I admit, I find a big truck on my ass intimidating and try to get away from them. I am always respectful of them and give them plenty of room.
Yes, the cowboys do give the good drivers a bad name. I know they are under pressure to deliver goods etc on time and some tend to speed because of this. I know hubby is very responsible.
One evening a Honda came in front of him, she was lost and thought she’d miss her turn.Without even looking over her shoulder or in her side mirror she pulled out in front. Luckily hubby’s tanker was empty, he told me she got stuck on his front left bumper and he was terrified he was going to go over her and crush the car. He tried to keep pulling away from her until she came loose and spun, hit one of his back wheels and spun off to the side.
Needless to say both of them were shaken up.
Hubby was sent home, police investigated too. Anyway a witness in another car called into his work to advise his boss that hubby had done a fantastic job and if it wasn’t for him trying to take the action he did there may have been a fatality that night.
Yes, he Married me, he’s a good bloke ;)
Thanks for the reply Flame. Good to see your husband and the other driver were ok after that crash. Yes, there are many bad car drivers out there causing mayhem to both truck drivers and other vehicles on the road unfortunately. I feel the state government is mainly to blame for my situation due to not upgrading this particular highway as it is still only 2 lanes even though it is a main thoroughfare for heavy vehicles. Trucks need to have their own lane which would certainly help traffic flow. My two cents anyway.

Yes I believe in Victoria trucks must keep out of the right hand lane. In NSW they don't care, I have over 30k's of freeway driving each way to work on a 60k trip and the trucks commonly sit in the outside lane. I do see however they're point because the inside lane has many off ramp exits and many idiots cut in front at the last minute under brakes. That would be a nightmare to handle in a big truck. You'd certainly need nerves of steel to drive one and a good punching bag at home.

That Red car hits the barrier before he/she zooms off and takes out the other cars, looks like they are ? drunk/ drug affected or something.
I noticed a motorbike Rider too, I don't know it the car that was rear ended and spun hit him as well.

I actually didn't even see that motorbike rider stopped there at the lights before, the first vehicle that was rear ended did hit the motorbike rider, you can just see the bike on it's side, and the rider walks across the road, lucky the other motorbike rider on Hoddle St didn't collide with that red Mazda.

Yeah, 2nd bike rider heading south on Hoddle St so lucky not to get hit.

Poor motorbike rider sitting there minding his own business and gets taken out by an out of control vehicle. I shudder to think of what could have happened to him. Hate watching these videos sometimes. :(
