Hi everyone.

I recently bought a 2023 Kia Stinger GT2 about a month ago and from day one I’m noticing a buzzing noise by the PCV valve. There has been some discussion about this before and I wanted to see if this is normal or not. I can’t attached the video but please use the link below to view the video through Reddit. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

And for any clarification, I have no oil catch can but I will install it when it comes in next week. This sound comes and go. Will installing an oil catch can solve the issue/sound?

I have that buzzing noise, seems to only be just after starting for a little bit. I feel the PCV valve vibrate when it does do it so thinking thats where its from.

@Timothy1_17 you wanna chime in here? Pretty sure you've got some experience on this one

Thanks for the heads up, Deviate.

The post from Reddit seems to be gone, but I'm assuming it's the same buzzing noise that others have experienced.

Oh man, this has been going on for me since when my car was only about a month old (at least that is when I first noticed it). And I first posted about it on the What's good catch can? thread. After that, I made updates on here: Weird engine buzzing sound (bees?), along with a few posts on What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Quick summary – Took my Stinger to my local dealer, the tech looked her over; pulled in a 2023 Stinger right next to mine with both engines running. Both new Stinger and mine made the sound at first, then both quieted down. Sound could be replicated when the fresh air hose was pinched. Seemed like the pressure change in the crankcase made the spring in the PCV valve open and close rapidly, causing the noise.

I still hear it to this day...every once and a while (I probably drown it out and got used to it). And sometimes if I stop and listen, it drives me a little crazy. I still haven't figured out an exact reason/cause/issue, but she runs great with no problems.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
