Hello,

First time post. Does anyone know if there's a way to find out which Kia dealers work with the Costco Auto Program? I know you don't find out which dealer you'll work with until you enter your vehicle and membership information. It would be nice to know ahead of time which dealerships in my area (Fairfield County, Southwestern CT) participate in the Costco program.

I'm looking to replace my current vehicle (2018 Ford Fusion Sport) with the new GT2 that's being announced next week, and I want to start doing the legwork.

TIA

Just call Costco customer service. I'm sure they'll be able to tell you what you need to know.

I checked last week and the new stinger 2022 wasn't part of the Costco auto program. Not sure if it's based on area or if the stinger is still pretty new. I asked the dealership about 2021 and they were charging invoice price + 100$ for costco members.

How did you know which dealership participated in Costco program? I'm guessing the 2022 won't be on the Costco site until it's officially announced.

I had to fill out my zip code and year-make-model on costcoauto.com
There's a yellow button on top 'Locate Dealer'. It will ask you for costco membership info and then show you the dealership and the Costco authorized sales people at the dealership.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Good to know. I was hesitant to go through that process, just because I didn't want the dealership to start calling me. Thanks!

Oh they will call you. As soon as I submitted my membership info on costcoauto, I got a text and email from the dealership.

Also, they won't give you the Costco price online. You will need to visit the dealership in-person.

Mine was 800 + invoice, which was a decent price, but it went way down before I eventually pulled the trigger on a 2022, that was absolutely not the Costco price.

The web searcher will only give you one dealer result. Call a live person at the Costco Auto Buying helpline. Ask for all the participating dealers in the surrounding area. Visit the dealer website to search for the vehicle you want, get the VIN, and then ask each for the Costco Member Only price. You will be surprised of the range of results.

Call their Auto Program directly and request to be connected with a dealership within X-miles of your zipcode.

I called and when I was connecting with Costco programs they put me in touch with a dealership in South Florida about an hour from where I was staying at the time.

After negotiating on the phone with the sales manager directly I was able to significantly beat the price of the Costco Auto buying program.

So keep that in mind! You can further negotiate down the price and get a better deal than what the Costco Auto Program is listing.

Good luck! :D

Unfortunately - and surprisingly - Costco Auto Program CANNOT give you list of Kia dealers - I just tried. They can only serve by zip code, within 50 mile radius. They cannot give you a general list of approved dealers - weird.
