Changing Stinger steering wheel

I've ordered and received an OEM alcantara wheel from this site with the heated feature (as my Stinger has a heated steering wheel).

I've been watching the few videos out there that show replacing the steering wheel but have not seen any references to the heating connection.

I've looked at the new wheel and haven't been able to identify any points that look like there would be some kind of connectivity for the heating feature.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Just interjecting i have done no reseaech but i believe that the horn cover comes off and there are plugs under the airbag and maybe (just guessing) there is a slip on connector on the rim of the steering coloum. Thats how i would do it at least

I've had the airbag off (I changed the lower bezel awhile back). Will have to get a better look at it with it removed.

Got the new Alcantara wheel from this site installed today. Looks great.

However, this is not a heated steering wheel... (It was indicated as such in the description). No way to know until they got the old one off as no one here had seen it but there is an embedded wire and socket on the old wheel and not on the new one.

As such no more heated steering wheel on my car

Otherwise I am very happy with the alcantara updated wheel.

By way of an update, I reached out to this site that sold me the wheel and they have offered me a refund and have offered to ship me a new wheel, the correct heated version.

And they got back to me within an hour of emailing them....

I have to say that's exceptional customer service.
