The Arteon looks like the little brother to the RS6...not a fan of the looks.
Too station wagony......is that a word...lol
Thats not a fair fight at all in those conditions....
Over 300hp 4 bangers are dangerous with good gearing like that oneCarwow is based in the UK. Probably half of their videos are in the wet.
A few years back they did a AWD C43 vs C63s video. The 385 hp AWD car beat the 505 hp RWD car.
Like that race, the only thing it shows is the difference AWD can make in a race.
For me, the most curious part of this video is the hard time the Stinger had reeling him in after they got off the line.
I might not either. I had a GTI and had been waiting for the Arteon, I test drove one after they first came out and it felt incredibly gutless. It was very disappointing. Gorgeous car though. If we had that Arteon spec here I wouldn’t own a Stinger.
Interesting take. I didn't like the Arteon when cross-shopping against the Stinger. The C-series AMG wagon though, that would have been my choice if it was available in the US.If we had that Arteon spec here I wouldn’t own a Stinger.
The performance is what held it back for me. I liked the rest of the package more than the Stinger.Interesting take. I didn't like the Arteon when cross-shopping against the Stinger. The C-series AMG wagon though, that would have been my choice if it was available in the US.
Did you also post this on FB? It's pretty obvious: AWD vs RWD (Stinger), wet surface, not horribly different power and/or power-to-weight values.
That Arteon (wish they sold that wagon over here!) would beat a Scat Pack, and probably even a Hellcat on that specific surface.
