Carbon Fiber Roof Molding

"Molding kits are not meant to directly replace stock items on your vehicle"

And judging by the pic in the sales page, the CF strip is taped onto the existing drip rails: which are slightly sunk below the metal roof: but in the pic it looks like these CF strips are even or slightly above the roof.

I have to wonder how well these will hold up to the weather: being already matt/flat in appearance: I wonder if a good ceramic coating of them is in order. Or even a clear coat and then ceramic?

If I were doing this mod, ample use of isopropyl alcohol would be top priority: with special attention that no crazed/cracked paint on the OEM drip rails finish is loose or coming up. If so, then make sure that all loose original paint is gone before laying these down.

The answer is, yes, it does lay over on top. ;)

OP.

I have exactly the same carbon fiber over the strip. Not from the link you pasted though. Had a friend who's a wrapper did them for me

No issues at all in any weather. They held up pretty great.

Only thing Id tell you is not to directly use a pressure washer on it, just around it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
They turned out well. They don't rise above the roofline like in the picture (in the link).

I "extended" the trim to hatch - but would not do it again.

So, was that pic to show how not to do it? It's lifted.

They look shinier on your car. Very nice contrast.

It is not lifted, but because the hatch does not have a channel to sit it - it sticks up. That is why I do not recommend doing it. ;)

The rear end is definitely not parallel to the channel line.
