Car insurance

travelers insurance for auto and home and 2 drivers.. 1447$ total 6 month but that is for 3 vehicles 2 of them full coverage. 100/300/100, uninsured coverage of 100/300/100 for all vehicles.. 500$ deductible for collision and comprehensive on our stinger and hummer.
Adding the stinger added about 560 for 6 months.

I have Geico 100k/300k/50k, $250 comp deductible, $500 collision deductible
paying $844 for 6 months
expensive but I'm 25, so that's why

That's really not bad, especially with those low deductibles. Re-shop next year and you'll have a big break. Actually, might want to re-shop now. I think I caught the first price break about 6 months after my 25th.

Hey all. It’s been awhile since I bought a new car. I am in the process of buying a new one or maybe newish/used one. I checked with my insurance company (SF) on quotes. My state has bare minimum (25/50/25) which I know us a no no since everything cost a whole lot more these day. Vehicles, hospital/emergency care and property damage are all very expensive these days. I am doing 50/100/50 but dang the price is high IMHO. What insurance coverage ratios are you using and what is the monthly or yearly cost?

My quote was $800 every 6 months for a 2019 GT2. It was $740 for a 2021 GT. Doesn’t really make any sense there since it’s the same car but the GT2 has extra safety features and is 2 years older basically.
Based on my experience, I can give advice. The car should be simple and comfortable to use and insurance will be cheaper:)

in summer 2019 my GT2 insurance was $1,724/year.

In summer 2020 my GT2 insurance was $2,316/year.

My agent couldn't figure out why it went up so much (I did have a non-collision claim of about $3,000 earlier in the yar). I reduced my coverage and got it down to $1,969/year.

I moved to a different county in August. (but still in North Dakota). This was in a different 'rate territory'. My yearly rate went down to $1,356/year -- almost a $600 drop.

I got a letter informing me of this drop today. I called my agent to make sure it was correct. She called one of the main admins in the state. Explanation was that I was in a territory that had a lower claims rate (possibly fewer deer mishaps).

And my home insurance dropped from $6.41/$1,000 of coverages to $3.66/$1,000. Different house obviously, but same insurance company. Again apparently because of lower claim rates.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I guess I did have one speeding ticket in the year before the big increase. Nothing major. I probably average 1 ticket every couple of years, but that didn't seem to change my insurance rates in the past.
