I've had bad inner toe wear on my rear tyres since lowering. I thought it was camber so bought some adjustable camber arms but it hasn't solved it. I need to tweak the numbers and possible try some subframe bolts.
Oz, where did you go? I completely forgot about this.Im going to put the heat on Kia to find something. The suspension experts did have an observation lets see what Kia have to say. This is the third alignment.
I agree with the subframe collars/bolts. I ordered whiteline sways with adjustable end link, well sways are on BO for another few weeks, but I had the ATQ kit installed with the endlinks that did ship, and there is indeed a difference...I want to say 15-20% of the rear wiggles is gone, when the sways get installed it'll button things down completely, but the ATQs with adjustable endlinks do produce a noticeable difference in themselves.Normally I would agree with you but after installing the ATQ Subframe Collars on my Stinger recently I was shocked by two things.
1. There is a rather large difference between the bolts O.D. and I.D. of the holes they go through and therefore could allow lateral movement over time. If lateral movement happens, the bolts can become more and more lose. I also noted that there was no thread locking compound on the bolts from the factory.
2. My car has ONLY ~6,000KM on it and although I did the installation for peace of mind, I could instantly, and still can feel the difference which means something has changed ( no it's not in my mind ) It's subtle, but it's there, and it's better.
Mass produced cars are built quite differently now than they were in the past and as such, new / different issues immerge.
Like: Since 2010 car manufacturers are being pushed to more and more to use recyclable materials in their cars, and as such, the plastics that are being used now days are far less resilient ( but much more recyclable ). Great for the planet but not so good for the longevity of your new car.
Anyway, 'if' your Stinger has a moving subframe, there is a solution. If not, it's one thing ticked off your list![]()
I went and got the Super pro camber-caster kit which apparently straightens things out. It doesn't change the camber though.Oz, where did you go? I completely forgot about this.
I have a new stinger i picked up last week.I went and got the Super pro camber-caster kit which apparently straightens things out. It doesn't change the camber though.
Two weeks in and the pull to the left has completely gone. Took the car to the capital a 1200km round trip couldn't be happier.
Superpro camber kit 100% its what i had to get. The specialist said the Stinger has a built in pull to the left which he said isn't uncommon. Also mentioned Camry's and Aurion's being that way.I have a new stinger i picked up last week.
It pulls to the left too I have taken it back 3 times to two different kia dealerships and tyrepower and had 3 different alignments and each say it was out and adjusted it but still it does exactly the same thing pulling to the left.
I have looked at that camber kit and now thinking about taking it to fullcrum to get installed.
Is this the kit you have?Superpro camber kit 100% its what i had to get. The specialist said the Stinger has a built in pull to the left which he said isn't uncommon. Also mentioned Camry's and Aurion's being that way.
I'm guessing you didn't see the post 2 up from yours![]()

Front Radius Arm To Chassis Mount Bush Kit - Caster Adjustable Kia Stinger
Control arm bushings form the vital pivot and link between all core suspension components. SuperPro's 'offset' bushing options introduce additional positive caster into the front end suspension geometry. With a small but significant change the additional caster delivers several benefits...superprousa.com
did that help because my right caster is off by 0.8°Yep thats the kit I've got.
Thats good to hear I recently got the caster kit installed last weekend and my wheel is now straight again.Yes its finally working a lot of it had to do with my passenger rear shock absorber failing .Not that any of the suspension "Experts" found it.
So far fingers crossed it stays straight.
I'm glad you finally got that straightened out!Yes its finally working a lot of it had to do with my passenger rear shock absorber failing .Not that any of the suspension "Experts" found it.

What a relief so much wasted time and money and Kia didn't pick it up with their machine that was designed to test each corner. I said "Is that normal that there's an extra 52kg over the back rear passenger wheel?" They said they didn't expect the weight distribution to be equal. What are these guys being payed for!I'm glad you finally got that straightened out!
