Canadian Buyers - How much did you pay vs. MSRP?

Yeah that wasn't there when I bought about 4 weeks ago. :(

They added it to the website at the end of July. If you see attached it appears it applies to any vehicle bought from July 23rd to August 15th. I believe your dealer has to register you so get on them!

I didn't realize that it was a fixed summer promo offer on the 2018 Stingers - it wasn't available when I bought my car in March either, but it's a great perk for those buying now. Good stuff!:thumbup:

I missed it by 9 days.

Dang... I wonder if we can get it retroactively?

Kia Sherwood Park, Sherwood Park Alberta.

I paid $49,500 for my 2019 GT Limited plus taxes. No fees.

They swapped another dealer for the colour I wanted and were excellent to do business with. Had the car shipped to me in Regina, Saskatchewan at a reasonable cost and all said took 10 days start to finish.

Their price came in $4,000 less than I was quoted in Regina.

Accessories were added at dealer cost such as the PPF and all weather mats.

They’ve sold Stingers all over Western Canada.

Call and ask for Scott or message Scotty@SherwoodKia as he’s a member here.

Nice job, SKStinger. Are you the first in YQR? I was there in July +White City/Moose Jaw to see family and friends but I didn't see any around town at all.
I have a friend in Halifax that is thinking of trading in his late model Corvette for something more practical but still fun. The dealership didn't allow him to test drive. It seems the dealerships in smaller centers aren't as motivated to do business on these.
Also, is there PST payable when you bring it in from AB?

Nice! Let me know next time you’re here and we can grab a coffee!

Supposedly they’ve sold 10 here in Regina. That’s what the sales manager told me anyway. He also said they received 2 2019’s first because they had sold so many Stingers. That’s probably also why they have them marked up above MSRP...

I’ve yet to see one on the road. They had no issues with me test driving one though. I could see small market dealers balking at that as they may only have 1 or 2 in stock and prefer to keep them with low km’s.

I paid pst directly to Sherwood Kia. Makes the process smoother.

Thanks Saskie!

So the 2019s are here?

Yeah, saw that Brantford, Milton and Georgetown Kia have some, including the new 2.0 GT Line.

They're popping up all over now. Regina now has 4 in stock. If you run a new car search on Auto Trader there are quite a few listed now.

I wonder if the dealership would honour the maintenance special offer now if the car was just purchased a month ago?? I too just purchased about 4 weeks ago and would like to have that special offer. I'm heading into the dealer today to inquire.

Ill see what i can get a 2019 gt for...

Have you test driven this car yet? Do you own one??

I'll be very honest with you. I've owned a multitude of vehicles in the past, from a Smart diesel cabriolet, to a corvette C6 Z06, a Nissan GT-R all the way to a 2009 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL63 (which originally stickered in Canada at $174K). Up to the Stinger, the AMG was the overall nicest vehicle my wife and I ever owned. Not any more. We both agree that the Stinger (Limited edition) is currently at the top of the pile. It's loaded with every electronic nanny and bell and whistle you can imagine, goes like stink, sporty but still comfortable on a long trip, hatchback with more cargo room than you expect, more rear leg and head room than pretty much any other "sports car" that I've ever owned, looks "badass" and draws just as much attention on the road as my GT-R (which says A LOT 'cause the GT-R attracted a TON of attention!), can be driven all year long with winter wheels and tires, comes with a 5 year/100K km warranty and with a measly $800 ECU tune, intakes and spark plugs, can get you north of 500 crank HP! It ain't perfect, but pretty damn close!!! At $47.3K plus H.S.T., it's an absolute steal!!! I absolutely LOVE this car!!!

Hi Jonathan! Do you know anyone locally offering an ECU tune for the Stinger?

Hi Ace2Rolex,
Locally? No. There are some well known ECU tuners that have dealers in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, but, to my knowledge, no one tuning the Stinger platform.

I plan on getting a spare ECU when the tunes are a little more developed (likely in the spring). Currently, I think tunes are still to raw (just read of a second owner blowing a turbo on a tuned car with 2K miles on it). I'm hoping by then there will be combined ECU/TCM tunes available. Summer will be soon over and then hustling to get another 100-120 HP more when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground doesn't make much sense.

Hey guys, just to keep the thread active and give new buyers some idea on haggling. I secured my Stinger GT limited AWD for $52K + GST. This included full set of 18" winter package with alloy wheels, full 7 window tint, cargo liner and basic expel on the car, plus the dealer 5 yr/50k warranty. I think that this was a pretty damn good deal as they were clearing the lot for 2019's.

Well done! You got a great price with the included winter wheels, tires & other extras.

Enjoy the car, and take advantage of the great community here! You'll find a lot of valuable information and support - from most ....

Yup because I weighed it out, If i was to get a discount on the car itself they would not throw in those items of which I needed. The cost for me to pay out of pocket is more than what I could of saved on the MSRP. This is kind of a win win as the dealer's cost is not as much but for someone who is looking at purchasing this from retail, will cost much more. Just my two cents.

Respectable deal for sure!
