Can any US owners with 19s on AWD confirm whether their tires are Pilot Sport 4 or 4S?

Can any US owners with 19s on AWD confirm whether their tires are Pilot Sport 4 or 4S? Mine are "4" only, and a generic Google image search does show tires with the "4S" imprint. The Kia website clearly advertises the 4S tires...

I am still trying to find a comparison between the 2. Other than the Sport4 has a wear rating of 320 and the Sport4s has a wear rating of 300. The visual seems to be a little extra siping on the outboard tread on the 4s. Pricing is relatively the same. Now if this was a SuperSport vs a Sport4, I'd be concerned others I wouldn't complain. If someone knows where a comparison is between the 2, post a link please.

I'm not too concerned about having the older, perhaps lesser, tire model, given that I'm not doing anything competitive, and they're a wear item anyway. It's just another example of marketing issues we've seen, although I can't definitively say when they started advertising the 4S tires. My Monroney sticker merely lists 19" wheels w/Summer Tires.

I'm not sure the performance difference would bother me, but I would sure be bothered that the 4 has a 20,000 mile tread life and the 4s has a 30,000 mile rating. 50% more life is not a small thing, especially if Kia has said they were 4s tires and in reality they are just a 4.

Good catch. That’s on me for not reading the fine print. Very odd, though, the number of ambiguous nuances between trim levels. I wonder if it’s unique to this Stinger roll-out, or typical for Kia. Regardless, no biggie in this case.

Yeah, it is surprising. You'd think it would be cheaper to run the same equipment on multiple trims. I can't see where going from the 4S to the 4 between RWD or AWD would save the company money.

looked at 2 yesterday, a Limited with Sport 4 and a GT2 AWD also with Sport 4. Not sure who's getting the Sport 4 S, but I would like to have the 4 S if I were going to be buying one this go round.

I would make in part of your offer , I doubt a good dealer would say no to exchanging the 4 for a 4S.................give it a try

I have a GT2 AWD in the States. Mine has the 4, not the 4s. The treadwear rating is 320 not 300 so theoretically they should actually get 20% more wear than the 4s as I understand it. I looked on tire rack. They both have the identical treadwear rating (30,000) though where the wheels are staggered (as in the GT2) the rear tire warranty is halved. Where are we getting the fact that the 4 only has a 20,000 mileage rating?
