Hey guys I’m looking to get a piggyback for my stinger. I have jun downpipes and k&n filters. I was looking at the racechip Rs or the jb4. I would probably not use the fuel wires as I don’t want the dealer to see it. Any info would be great! FYI I put 91 in my car but we do have 94 down here as well and I’m going to get my stock plugs put down to around 25.

I haven’t heard a whole lot about other piggy backs besides the JB4. It wasn’t until I got one myself that I found out why. It is absolutely amazing. Great ride in all maps, and when it’s off. And when you do want to open her up on one of the more powerful maps, you’ll giggle and probably exclaim in your primary fashion. I said, “woah! Shit balls!” And then, you’ll giggle more. I used it without the fuel wires first. But when I put the wires on, it was even better.

Do you use the Bluetooth as well? Do the fuel wires stick out? Like if you have warranty work are you able to pull the unit out but keep the wires? It would suck to have to undo splices every time you have to go to dealer.

Thanks

I have the Bluetooth. I think it’s totally worth it. As for the system, it isn’t hard to completely remove. The fuel wires use wire “clips” so they unscrew easily and it is as if the whole system was never there.

There is really no comparison between the JB4 and any of the other available tuning systems. It's light years ahead of everything else out and happens to be less expensive to boot. :)

It's a modular system so run as much as you want to run knowing you've got the rest on tap if/when you need it.

JB4 all the way!

Just the customer support is second to none. The quality of the product and the tunes are worth it.

Adam All I know is that I went from map1 to map 2 just for giggles on my JB4....Holy Crap ....big giggles....All I can tell you is that I could have bought any box thats out there....and I chose the JB4.....the tuning is superb...and the customer care is number one! in addition the fuel wires are little screw in plugs that tap into the single wire below the wire harness sleeve......its undetectable in my view...and you can remove it easily.....thats my .02s :) Wash

JB4....... Do it with Bluetooth module and the fuel wires.

ooops I forgot ...get the bluetooth module for sure like Terra sez....its a hoot...and sooo easy to use... what other tuner has the foresight to incorporate into his tuner box the ability to email the exact numbers/file of your particular "run",and how the engine is performing back to him at the push of a button...AND update your tuners firmware with new tune for example..... Im going out on a limb here....NO ONE.... :) Wash

Ok jb4 it is. Do all you guys run aftermarket plugs? I was just thinking of getting my oem plugs gapped to 25 or so. From what you guys say I’ll probably do the fuel wire now. I don’t plan on running over map 2. I’m at sea level so I was going to do 91 gas with map one and 94 with map 2 to be safe. Do you guys think my oem plugs will hold up?

I went with relatively inexpensive Densos gapped to .022. Haven’t let me down.

Another vote for jb4. There is no reason for anyone to buy a RaceChip over of JB4.

You will be fine with re-gapped stock plugs. I've had my JB4 since March and for over 8k miles on stock re-gapped plugs, running map 2 problem free.

Thanks for all the info guys. I ordered the jb4 this morning with fuel lines and Bluetooth. Can’t wait to get it going, friday I’m going to gap the plugs down.

Honestly if your taking it to the shop, you might as well buy some denso or hks spark plugs and have them gap those and switch them out, that eway ou always have your stock ones in their original form since your paying to get it done anyways.
