FYI I would get knock on shell 91 even on map 1. I run E85 with it now. The best gas in Canada I have found is 91 octane that has some e10 in it. Even chevron 94 was worst then shell 91. Canadian has sucks. I would get some E85 if you can in your area.
I've heard our gas wasnt great but I was hoping it wasnt true lol. Consistently not putting out full boost makes me believe it is octane related. I dont think Edmonton has anything for e85 that I'm aware of.
I tried running map 3 with 93 octane plus Lucas octane booster, the car would not go past 5k RPM on WOT. Was the octane booster bad or was it something else?
@Terry@BMS For the BMS Tial BOV flange that you sell, you indicate to buy a 50 mm Tial BOV. My question is they sell the Tial BOV with a 6,8,10,12 psi spring, What is the correct spring so the BOV functions properly on the Stinger?

What seems blasphemous to be is when 94 octane does not actually behave like 94 octane. Considering stations aim to have Top Tier detergents and whatnot, you'd think a gas not performing to its octane rating would literally be false advertising. Considering most things petroleum are controlled by API and other governing bodies, you'd think these standards were required to be met, completely.
Ok so i couldn't connect to the Jb4 Bluetooth. I connect it either on the 2 red wires as per instructions said. What to look for? Its appering on my phone when i turn on my bluetooth but can't connect to it with the default code 1234. So my connections is good then cause it's showing on my phone! Tried the On/Off bluetooth doesn't help either.
@Terry@BMS yBMS, another newb here. Wanted to send you a few logs to look over. I just installed the jb4 a few days ago. I have been reading the forums and I think I found the answers to my main question. I believe I am experiencing oscillations like others. I can feel it in the car, hear it, and see it on the trends. What's strange is that I'm seeing it on map 1, most other other guys see it on higher maps. I mainly see it when in comfort mode. I dont really notice it in sport mode. I'm in the Houston TX area and running 93 octane. Can you please take a look at these logs and see how things are looking before I go to map2. Also, I updated the firmware to version 9 as soon as I installed everything. I'm ready to try out map 2.
Hi, ordered my JB4 with bluetooth and denso plugs a couple weeks ago and finally had time to set everything up yesterday. Everything else on the car is stock, AWD 3.3T. Can you check out the attached logs to make sure all looks good? Map 1 and 2, JB4 FW9
For fuel im running 15 liters of E85 to a full tank of 87 octane. My works re-emburses me for 87 so i wanted to see if i can make this combo work as a daily driving mix. My calculations put it around e25-30 and 91 octane. I want to try out Map 3 and was wondering what values in the log i should watch out for? i didn't see a knock sensor column.
Also, tried search for this but couldn't find it, how can i confirm the fuel wires are working correctly? I know that you don't need to enable them with the new firmware.
Map2 looks good so far. On fuel wires I can tell by looking at fuel trims, fuel wires are working properly here. For knock you look at all 6 cylinders and look for repeated same cylinder drops indicating the ECU is having to continually pull back timing in one specific cylinder. When you see that then it's time to up the octane, back down the boost, or in some cases (like lower grade fuels) decide to live with it.

How do my map 3 logs look? I also noticed i get the oscillating boost feeling occasionally on map 2. i read on one of your previous posts to use FutureUseD bit7? what does that do? any other recommendations? Hopefully it's something the JB4 can eventually fix. don'y think it's captured in these logs.
