How long will the wait be? I am thinking about that.

That depends on the color and when they bring that color in with 18" wheels. So far only red GT2 has come in to the states with the 18" option. Maybe the next wave will be silver. Who knows. 20% chance or so. I told the dealer that I'm willing to wait. It will be easier to get 19" staggered set up as that is the standard option. Out of 3000 delivered most were 19" and maybe a dozen were 18" and all of the dozen were red GT2's.

Don’t they just order your exact configuration from the factory and you get it in a few months or whatever? I didn’t know you just had to wait for your configuration to just show up in the states at some point... thought they actually order it to be built

I just spoke to my dealership this afternoon and they said that they should get a few Stingers around the 15th, mostly with black interior, and that if I wanted to wait on mine, it should be in around the end of the year. So, I think it takes around a month, maybe a month and a half for custom ordering.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

The dealer told me that is an inefficient way for them to do it since they have to stop an assembly line to make yours that way. They just make what they make and when they get to the port of entry then all the add-ons, like remote start, puddle lights, etc. are put on. But color, wheel size all come off the line when they come off. They will do several with the 18" wheel option, but when it is a non-standard option it will come off the line when they do that color an only in limited numbers. I'm ready for a wait, but don't think it will be any later than the Spring. It will be in the color and wheel size I want. My dealer said he'll get notice about 2 weeks before they arrive to the port with VIN numbers and since I've already put in my order w/deposit and is on good terms with the East Coast Manager he should be able to get me one.
