At the start of the race I always heat up the mickey thompsons especially in this cold weather. It was the first race of the night but had some fun freeway runs on the way there. Went to do my normal burnout and the axle just broke. Mind you I am 4 hours from home but finally got it back to my house and on the lift. It was only the axle thank god. Just wondering if anyone else had any other experiences like this? I was also trying to figure out how to beef up the rear end but couldnt find anything. Never did a dyno so I have no clue what my numbers are. I have a draggy and fastest I have gone is 12.0 secs at 6500' elevation. RWD obviously with the Lozic TCU and ECU w/ Meth.

Call CVJ Axle in Denver, they do custom race stuff.

yea one of my axels twisted and also the rest on my drive train i’m hoping not , just replaced differential and still don’t move i’m not sure if it’s the transmission

Yes this just happened to me last night. I was add a stop making a right hand turn and try to swing it out hard and it just blew the axle.. I'm at 45k miles and I Don't drift the car or anything like that but I definitely push it hard and do stuff like that weekly .. it's bound to happen . These axles are kind of weak.

Assume all you guys are rwd?

I'm assuming so. 2019 rwd gt here
Worst part is I just installed the front ultra racing brace a day prior to blowing the rear left axle. And I was having a ton of fun it totally changed the car at the higher limits in the canyons.. if there are any of you out there who like pushing their stingers in the canyons I highly recommend the ultra front racing brace.it's absolutely insane now. I took out the rear seats and saved about 150 lb and woah.. it makes a difference

Rear seats are good for 50lbs. I weighted them. Not 150

Not sure if you are talking about just the back or the bottom buckets as well but I took up both and also the spare tire and you're right it's probably not 150 lb but it's definitely close to 100..

Bottom section of the rear seats is really light, about 10-11 lbs. The upper sections of the rear seats are much heavier, around 40lbs. Spare tire is 31-32lbs. Tool kit with shelfs is another 15 lbs.So total will be around 100lbs.
