Need some help.
I've had a rattle since initial install of my Borla Catback w/ JunBL Downpipes w/ Akrapovic Tips of what i thought was my tips rubbing against my diffuser. After trimming my diffuser, and making sure the tips arent touching the diffuser at all, the rattle has gotten worse, and when i go over bumps now, i hear the tips bouncing and hitting the diffuser as if there's way more play. The weird thing i found is that i have to really jolt the tips to get the tips to move enough to hit the diffuser with my hands.
So that got me thinking, what if the problem is stemming from somewhere else. So i got underneath the car to see if i could hear anythign else while someone else rev'd, and sure enough the X-pipe is touching the brace, i can hear the "Ting" sound. Its sending the vibration down the pipe to the tips and in turn is causing the tips to rub and/or vibrate. Has anyone else experienced this? What's the fix? Do i do anything with the brace or do I have to find a way to keep the exhaust from moving all together while driving.
I've thought about bringing it to a muffler shop, but I want to try and fix the issue myself. The sound is absolutely amazing from the exhaust, but the rubbing has to go. Open to all suggestions as I'll be working on it this weekend.
