Borla Exhaust Review

I may be pulling the trigger on the borla but would require tips. Does anyone know what tips size can be attached to the borla to replace the OEM and fit without trimming the diffuser? Thanks
I have the Borla exhaust on with stock tips. I have not pulled the trigger on Borla tips because they are around $900-$1k for them. Almost as much as the exhaust! Anyway, if you get them, post your experience with them. I’ve been curious on what impact they make on the sound/cabin noise levels. I feel when I got the JB4 it seemed to make a difference on the sound (in a good way). It may be all in my head but just my impression.

Any drone on your Borla exhaust?

When I saw the price of the tips, it literally cost the same as the exhaust for me. So I'm definitely not getting the borla tips because for me it would be a waste of money. But that's my opinion. I was looking at other tips like the arkopovic that the mbrp users are putting in their setup. I'm just not sure the inlet size for the tips that would match the borla.

I don’t really have drone. It was a bit noisier before the JB4 tuner. However, in my opinion, the JB4 seemed to tighten everything up including the Borla. Seems like it was meant for the car now.

I read in the blogs the arkopovic tips will fit for Borla but not completely sure. Borla of course says their tips are the only ones that will fit. Lol (of course they would say that). I want to know what effects or differences the tips make besides a cooler look.

I definitely recommend the Borla Exhaust though. It was a great purchase

Lol. By any chance do you have that article? I know the mbrp is a 2.5 and the arkopovic tips people suggested for that were 105x75 and 63mm inlet. I guess I can just match the inlet to 2.25inches to fit. Extending the tips definitely help with reverb. I'm assuming the sound may be better as well since it fully comes out instead of some spilling underneath.

I’m not sure but maybe in the thread ‘Exhaust Tips’. In any case there is good discussion on tip modification.

Yeah that makes sense with control of reverb. I probably will do a solution of sorts just have to read up more I guess.

Yeah reverb is a big thing on our cars. It really has to clear the bottom rear. Thanks for the info. Will check that thread out

51mm inlet 76 outlet is what you're looking for.

I have the same exhaust, and it's not truly 2.25" - it shrinks down to 2 inches at the end of the muffler. There's a thread floating around here that has a picture of it, but can't recall where it is.

EDIT:
Exhaust Tips
So it gets even more restrictive at the end. The mbrp is full 2.5 inches. Would 2.5 inches really make a big difference in modding later down the road?

Thanks I dug a bit deeper and found someone who bought it and installed some on a Borla and yeah it’s weird the borla tips for $1k show 2.25” which is weird...

I’m looking at installing borla on my 2.0 stinger. When I go to order the exhaust, it only gives me the option to purchase for a 3.3. Has anyone else purchased for a 2.0?

Not made for the 2.0. at least not advertised

check Borla part # 20165. I have no experience with it but I see it advertised to fit a 2.0

That part# is those stupidly-priced exhaust tips, which would fit the 2.0 but aren't a 2.0 catback.

Kia Stinger Exhaust Systems

That is straight from their site, they don't have a 2.0 catback. I believe Ark has a 2.0 system as does Magnaflow and possibly Jun BL.
