Assuming these would be under or around $20 for the pair id take them in CS as soon as you had them ready lol. Would love it if you can get a cut out of STINGER though the middle like these
Yeah I know they are vinyl and was wondering where you got them. Wasn't wanting the painted ones.I was referring to a different product. More of a vinyl overlay. These are actual painted reflectors that you pop out your existing ones and put in these new ones.
Oh got ya. The vinyl ones you can get from a couple places, but they arent the same color as the OEM paint. They sell just blacked out vinyl (tint). JDMFV sells all sorts of overlays. He has them.Yeah I know they are vinyl and was wondering where you got them. Wasn't wanting the painted ones.
That’s a solid idea! I might be interested in those or some yellows but damn they are almost 100 for just two little pieces of plasticHave you thought of doing these in dark chrome to match the accents of the rest of the car? This way it would work for any color Stinger. Even thought it isnt red in color headlights will reflect off of the chrome.
Any instructions on how to remove the reflectors? It looks like there is a screw in there from the pictures.
Given more than likely destroying something to remove it from the car, an OEM part, is rarely the correct option. I’d have looked into removing the trunk area trim/lining to access the reflector from the rear.I would kill for some instructions. I figured once I got the taillight assembly out it would be easy, nope. Had to destroy the original reflector just to get it out.

Did you wind up damaging any paint? Ouch!
Even though it is kind of a weird way to do it (as opposed to a reflector lower on the car or whatever), doesn't that extended reflector meet a safety requirement?I'm normally a big believer in "If it's stupid and it works, than it ain't stupid", but that that doesn't apply here; it worked and was still idiotic, I wouldn't recommend it. No damage to the paint or anything else.
I attempted to pull out the trunk liner at first, but my first pull at it caused a glued section to come undone.

Hey there @67GP , did you attend the Queensland December Cruise held for Stinger owners on Saturday 29th December ?Look at Stings in one of the Galleries, its Pearl White with color coded reflectors and top of the mirrors, blacked out rear bumper reflectors and the black chrome painted Gloss Black. Not everyone's cup a tea but I think it looks good, sexy as, put a horn on a jellyfish...
Yup, but only the first inch or so with the light behind it. The rest is a styling choice and a bad one by consensus. I’m going to guess that if Kia had just done a red reflector with an LED behind it that stopped at the rear fender, we wouldn’t be seeing all this at all.Even though it is kind of a weird way to do it (as opposed to a reflector lower on the car or whatever), doesn't that extended reflector meet a safety requirement?
Here is mine with reflectors wrapped in a vinyl that nearly matches the silky silver paint. Don’t know about the legal aspect but it can always be peeled off.
