• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

BMS Stinger Zero Maintenance OCC

I came across this today, was looking for a catch can and this seems to be the lowest price in Canada that I could find for the zero-maintenance one. They have free pickup for those of us in the GTA, and $20 shipping otherwise.

BMS has it on sale for 179 USD on their website which, with shipping, comes to ~$329 CAD pre-tax. This is $264.99 CAD pre tax/shipping(depending on location I assume).

They also have a good price on the BMS intakes($459.99 CAD), JB4, and a few other items. I have never heard of them, anyone else used them before?

Buy from khartunerz. Ships to Canada brilliantly quick and cheap. Contact him on Facebook messenger. You’ll be very pleased and surprised.

Never heard of them, but the Mishimoto one is very tempting! !

I hear often he's good to deal with, however it is $60 more assuming they don't charge for shipping to Canada.

I was also looking at that one, I doubt I would notice a difference other than not having to deal with the BMS one?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'd be on this if I didn't already have the Mishimoto direct fit model.

Never heard of them but good prices. I'd go with the Mishimoto catch can also. Especially for that price.

I've ordered from here and his prices are pretty good also but not quite as cheap as the site you found:

Is this something I should consider doing? I don't plan on doing anything engine mod wise, but do want to keep this car long term as its my DD.

From what I've read and seen on this forum, oil will make it's way onto the intake valves if you don't install one. I would say its 100% necessary if you plan to keep the car long term.

I like my Mishimoto. Works well and looks good and subtle in the engine bay too

I just put a order in for it and it seems to be okay. Got an email from them saying around 3 week wait time since "BMS is experiencing heavy warehouse delays from being short staffed" and with this whole covid-19 situation im not surprised.

So what is the overall consensus on this OCC compared to mishimoto? I understand this BMS one is only one catch can on the vacuum side?

Buy this one or mishimoto?

And you need only one?

I haven't seen anything bad about the mishimoto one, but for me personally the prospect of no maintenance made me instantly buy the BMS one and from the few reviews on the forum it seems to be good.

And you need only one?

Via the product page,

"Note the Stinger has two separate PCV paths, vacuum side and boost side. The BMS Stinger OCC is for the vacuum side which we've found contributes ~95% of the manifold PCV oil contamination. With the Stinger we have not found any significant benefit to adding a separator to the boost side (driver side) system and suggest leaving it factory."

They’re both for the PCV vacuum side. Only one side is really important. Some do both but I think it’s overkill as very little blow by has been reported.

I like to see evidence of what my OCC is catching so I’d get the Mishimoto. Personal preference really.
