Curious if anyone has experienced the discoloration of the chrome around the front grill ?
hey guys try a good "cleaner wax" on the chrome , it'll come back like new !!I detailed mine today. The chrome has a blackish purpleish look. Almost like some type of fluid has dried on it. I'll have the dealer check it out. Can't wipe clean.
.............the chrome on these cars needs to be waxed like the paint . Once you get the chrome neutralized with the cleaner wax , put a top coat of good wax on for added protection . It works great ...................thanks I'll try that.![]()
it just looks so great when its perfect, I don't want to screw it up - it's kinda paint but kinda chrome. but if the wax helps keep it clean I'll give it a shot thanks!.............thing chrome on these cars needs to be waxed like the paint . It will look ..........factory , just maintain it regularly and it will perform , the mirrors really look smart when dressed this way !it just looks so great when its perfect, I don't want to screw it up - it's kinda paint but kinda chrome. but if the wax helps keep it clean I'll give it a shot thanks!
Yup same idea , get the surface looking good then get the Saran Wrap on it!I had all my front chrome and side vents as well covered in PPF. There is a kit out for it.![]()
Westcoastgt...dat u bruh?
WutWestcoastgt...dat u bruh?
.if that doesnt remove the blemish then its below the surface or the surface has been compromised , ie overbuffed with an orbital etc
I got PPF on it (front). Don't have to worry now.
Or ceramic coat it.Heads up with that - you need to still take care of the PPF with a high quality wax.
