Bayson R Rear Diffuser Review

I purchased this diffuser from Nextmod in Markham, Ontario. They carry the entire kit.

It can also be ordered for US customers here: CK Style Rear Diffuser For 2018-2020 KIA Stinger

I've been looking for something more substantial and aggressive than just the center portion that is offered by M&S and Maxton but didn't want to spend the big bucks on Zest or Stillen. This is a good alternative as it was $395 CAD shipped and it arrived in 2 days.

Fitment: 3/5 - There is a gap in the center portion that is to be filled with a rubber strip they provide but it doesn't stick well and some may not like the look of having that in there. I ended up having to use a pliable adhesive to keep the rubber in place. There are also no instructions included or published online so it took me longer to install than it should have. It does come with all of the mounting hardware and reuses all of the pop clips in the stock diffuser.

Appearance: 4/5 - The kit comes finished in gloss black but it's not a painted gloss black like my Maxton pieces but a plastic finish. I had to polish each piece with my rotary polisher to remove some scuffs and cloudiness. Once cleaned up and mounted though I think it looks really good. It sits lower so that you can't see the battery box from the back of the car, something I disliked. The added lip also allowed me to move my tips further out.

Overall i'm happy with it. I like the look and it didn't break the bank.

FYI - Kia splash guards won't fit with this kit

I like this as well. Did you order in glossy finish or did you have it painted?

Thanks. It comes in a glossy black. The rear diffuser on my car in the photos is not painted.

Dude the included rubber/weather seal was a PITA to install. Maybe it's because I removed all the tape before installing. But fitting them to the edges was painful.

And now I'm realizing that @SKStinger 's rubber seal isn't straight, understandably because it's easy to "crush" the rubber seal between the diffuser and valance.

Also, just want to make sure I'm doing it right: This T-shaped (or Y-shape) seal's adhesive should be placed on the underside of the middle piece. Or is it supposed to be on top of the middle piece?

It is, I agree. Worst part of the design for sure. See my other posts. I bought a new strip from Aliexpress that is glossier and used some of this adhesive below to hold it in place. It is way better than the crappy adhesive it comes with. That Butyl rubber below is a great product to have around. Super pliable, leaves no residue and is water proof.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks! M&S Type G
