autozone or fedex lost my borla!

autozone has the borla for 1174 so i bought it from them as they have it for the cheapest! time goes by and my tracking number never updates just says shipment information sent to fedex and hasnt changed autozone says fedex has it and fedex says they havent received it both of them are saying theres nothing they can do as neither of them claim to have the package. Am i just out 1200 dollars or will autozone have to refund me at some point?
 
I'm not sure if regulations in the US are the same as Australia but if you fail to receive something you paid for then I'd suggest getting your credit card company to do a chargeback.
 
How long has it been since you got the tracking #? This could also be one of two things. One, a different tracking number was issued after you got your notice due to whatever reason, or fedex didn’t scan it at pickup and it’ll appear next time it goes through a truck or station transfer. note that sometimes sellers drop ship, meaning they send the purchase details and an air bill to a third party to actually ship the unit out. When that actually ships is another subject. And they could have switched out the airbill as well.

if it’s been more than two weeks, time to call your card company and start the chargeback.

its been a week now! it was supposed to be overnighted. as for drop shipping its not, it comes from the autzone warehouse in michigan, and the tracking number is correct as it shows my city and state!

If it’s been a week for an overnight delivery and nobody can track it, then yes it’s time for a chargeback.

Before you do a charge back talk to someone at autozone (email, support, etc) and give them a chance to fix it and let them know that you will do a charge back if they can't or won't help

what?? did you not read the post? ive literally called multiple times i even called today they literally just tell me they sent the exhaust and that fedex has it! and fedex says they never even got a pickup date to get the package from autozone so theres no way that they could have it!

I meant call them and tell them if they don't fix the problem (ie find it or send you a new one) you are going to do a charge back. Best to talk to a manager or supervisor. Odds are it will either show up at your door, or end up back at their location.

Recently I ordered the fuel-it flex fuel sensor, got a FedEx tracking number, then the day after it said shipment was canceled, so I sent an email to fuel-it and they apologized that they actually sent it via USPS but didn't update their tracking info. I got it two days later.

yea autozone lied about shipping it out! they had never given it to fedex like they continuously said they did.

My guess is someone at Autozone probably tried to use your purchase to essentially get a free borla exhaust.

Maybe they didn’t really have it in stock or it was damaged, or maybe just didn’t warp honor the price.

I was thinking that FedEx installed it on one of their vehicles as a test it to see if it would help them get packages out faster. But I see Autozone lied. So... does Autozone have delivery trucks?? :sneaky:
