No not in the recall, but good to know they have the parts ready.
I also made sure they have oil filter stock as they were in short supply a month or so ago.

Strange. Mine is December 2018 build and the VIN check shows as active recall.

Yeah as I mentioned, the media sure seems hell bent on making sure the world is aware of the Kia recalls.

I thought the recall was all 2017-2019 Stingers which would have included Stinger GT SS car as well.

I thought the recall was all 2017-2019 Stingers which would have included Stinger GT SS car as well.

Wasn’t concerned either way, booked in for its 50k service in 2 weeks so it would have been rectified then.

Should there be any interest, my experience's with the 2020 vs 2021 Stinger are as follows:-
There are no negatives and the positives of the 2021 model are
1, The exhaust has a more detailed & fuller sound.
2, To me I feel the car is a little more responsive especially in sport mode.
3, Being able to start the car from a distance is great for hot & cold days.
4, bigger screen & additional screen for indicators is really good.

Overall I am very pleased with the update and the Stinger in general. Got to be the best car out there in it price range and much higher may I add.

Fair call. I haven’t heard anything from Kia yet. Sounds like a simple fix anyway. Getting sick of the ‘Has your Stinger caught on fire yet?’ from numerous acquaintances.

The VIN list states that my Stinger is clear,but as previously shown I would still like to be officially notified one way or the other. Still parking in the garage regardless of what the press have said.
We both have lifetime new for old replacement on our insurance.

Last model year affected was 2019 and March build so I think you are safe.
