Video of it shows them leaving the road and driving straight up the wire tension line that supports the power pole. The car just got stuck on the wire, surprisingly dead center. The bigger question is how did they get out without shifting the balance on that narrow wire and causing it to tip? Pure luck I’m guessing. Haven’t seen anything to suggest why they left the road but if I had to take a punt I’d say on the phone and not paying attention.

Yep. That'd be my guess too. Driver distraction is terrible - I am glad the Stinger encourages a driver to drop the phone on the charger and just leave it there.

It’s not even safe up there, it’s only a matter of time before some wanker in his shitbox Datsun comes and parks next to it and smashes his door into a side panel.

I can remember the news a while back and apparently statistically males are more prone to taking risks in the car and hoon driving.
Where as females tend to be speed demons.....don't look at me and some females can't park for sh*t, but that normally applies to parallel parking. I knew a couple of women who had to go for their driver's license more than three times because they kept failing the parallel parking test.

My daughter just went for her license test and passed first go. Thankfully she hasn’t thought to ask me how many goes it took me to pass.

My son wouldn't take any advise from me, he went driving with the wife , too much straight road driving. It took him three goes to get it. Me you ask? First go of course. Lol.
