• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Atlanta owners?

Patience.... Is it bad that I'm checking Auto trader onna weekly basis? I'm still at least a year away from buying but I feel like a fiend. Can't wait to get my hands on one. Congratulations on your new whip man, this is a great crew of local folks to ask for guidance. They know their stuff

Just curious, what's the hold up? There are lots of great deals to be had on new ones

I've used spider wire (stranded fishing line), floss, and on the Stinger, a piece of a nylon strap from around a crate I had in the garage (I ripped a thin, thread-like piece from it).

The key is to only "pull" against the badge, never any rubbing against the paint. There's a ton of room there. On the Stinger, I had a can of WD40 handy and used that to lubricate, which may or may not help. No idea if I bothered with anything like that on prior vehicles, it's just not difficult.

Used to meet a group of riders down at L5 Pizza on Thursdays. Getting down there in traffic was fun even with being able to use the HOV lanes. I'm not afraid to ride in traffic but have to say that was probably some of the riskiest riding I've done.

Much prefer Planet Bombay, but there's always one or two in a group who "can't eat Indian food".. and you can sit outside at L5P..

Shit, if they have Butter Chicken you'll see a Stinger do things you didn't know was possible. I'm all for that dish.

Last time I was in Pakistan and UAE I think I gained 40 pounds...

I have a 13 optima I purchased about 3 years ago and my wife has an 08 pilot. It's her turn to upgrade and we're eyeing an sx telluride at the end of this year when we complete our debt free except for the mortgage goal. After we get her situated then I can start my search. So the hold up is execution of the plan but it's hard as hell when I'm lusting after this damn car.

That's awesome! Get her taken care of first! The Telluride looks awesome. If it drives as good as it looks, I probably wouldn't look back if i got a killer deal on a fully loaded one!

Not to derail the thread here but that Telluride has changed her from a never Kia person to that's the only vehicle she wants. We were eyeing a 16/17 X5 or a same year RX 350. And those would have been damn near base model for about 35k...compared to the telluride pricing and value I'd spend 40 for what the sx offers. What Kia is doing is fantastic and I hope they keep that momentum going. And then hopefully I'll get to roll with this crew at some point

I've been a Sorento owner since 2010 (a 2011 and now a 2015 after a DUI killed my 2011) and have been very happy.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely have had a few slices up at L5 Pizza in my day. Unfortunately, the fiance is one of those people who "can't eat Indian food" so Planet Bombay is much less common.

I assume most folks on here are buying badges from the Stinger Shop referenced on the forum? It seems like those are typically 3M stick ons and are good quality. If that's the case, I'll probably give it a try once I complete my buyout.

@BEEK you must be the other Ceramic Silver driving around Atlanta... Midtown/Buckhead area?

I have a 45 min commute in N Atl and I literally see several Stingers every day in every color, not quite as ubiquitous at a Model 3 but they're becoming more common.

That they are. Haven't seen too many of a single color tho. My commute is only about 5 min or so in Marietta... I don't see too many around. Hah.

Could be. Black rims.
My GF is the one that spotted it. Will have her look next time :) she says she sees a silver ahead of her getting on the interstate a few times...

But we all need to try to do C&O one month.

Alright gents (and maybe ladies), when are we doing food and drinks?

I'm in Roswell, near Canton Street (downtown Roswell).

Do you ever end up on Barrett parkway? I think I may have seen you while out with the family. Looked like a Cermaic gray GT2, I saw just a regular GT up in that area as well by the Play it again sports.

Yeah I'm up there every once in a while ... My car doesn't get that much use but I do play golf at Pinetree so I end up around that area a bit.

Hi Callum, I am up for food and drink. Wednesday or Thursdays are best for me (not this week), but could look at other days as well. Im in Brookhaven, but sounds like most others are North. Maybe meet in Sandy springs or somewhere by SunTrust park?

Additional Cumming, GA chiming in - had mine for about two weeks. I've seen a few around the area; white one near Alpharetta last week, a red about 3 months ago at Avalon, and a Ceramic in The Collection with a gross exhaust and black JC Whitney catalog racing stripes. As for me, look for the HiChroma Red blur down 400.
