are there issues with black chrome trim fading and pealing after two years

Bought mine 07/2019 and the trim is as good as the day I got it

Howdy and welcome. "Peeling" not so much: fading is more common along with spotting. Most Stingers don't do this without some outside factor, such as chemical reactions to cleaners and the like, then sitting in the hot sun, etc. In my case, I've noticed that the affected areas are almost entirely where passengers shut the doors, so, I think there is some connection. I have used rubbing compound, then polishing compound and finished up with several coats of wax: this has reduced the discoloration and made the issue not get worse. I first noticed the discoloration soon after my 36 months warranty had expired :P. Since then (I'm well past four and a half years into ownership), I haven't had the issue get any worse, and I've contained it, even knocked it back a lot, as I described.

Others have wrapped their door/hatch trim pieces or painted them gloss black (and of course, replaced them under warranty where possible).

Does anyone know if the black chrome trim at the top of the doors is covered under warranty?
