• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Are there any Stinger car club in Perth?

You could take it to a quality smash repairer or your dealer & let the trim guys do it for you to adoid the stress of damage, I’m attempting the rear badge change over this weekend because of the heat & I will be easier to remove existing badges as I do not like applying direct heat to the car via. Heat gun or hair dryer, but I’m still apprehensive about doing it
Not worth the risk sorry.

Hi there. I'm new to this forum. I've had my Stinger since Mid-December. I'm in Perth and have not seen any other Stinger on the road. Are there any Stinger car club in Perth? I've notice AV8R is from Perth. Can I ask what colour is your vehicle and did you have any difficulty in removing the rear Kia badge?
Sorry we all got wrapped up in the badge thingy and I forgot to respond to car club question.
No as far as I know there is not one, mainly due there aren’t enough on the road yet. I’m still waiting on my car which comes in April so touch base again then and we can see how we go. I would be keen to organise a meet say Kings Park?

Sounds great. Your car doesn't arrive till April, when did you order your stinger?

October 2017.the dealer rang today and said there is one available now that is a MY 18 but built oct 17, apparently there was a screw up and it went to the wrong dealer. Issue is that I have consoled myself to having a build 2018 MY18 car and more time to sell my Optima. Not sure if I can get the newer one without a penalty. Will know by Monday. What do you think I should do?

Welcome MicroblueGT, im from Melbourne and i am now waiting for a Stinger, and have the bi-modal exhaust on my paperwork, but have asked the dealer to call me, when it is fitted to a Stinger, to hear it in person.
Just bought my Stinger GT last week. Nice car to drive but notice front end has a lot of play when accelerating on takeoff around the 80km mark. The reversing lights are very poor at night l have noticed as well.

I’m from Melbourne and the dealer tells me the first batches of the bi-modal exhaust didn’t comply with Australian standards. They are expecting them early next month when I will get mine fitted.

Welcome to the forum, we have some really nice Aussies here, @AV8R you've already met, your right about the bi-modal exhaust, and why it is held up, i hope it will sound great.

Hi there,
Have you been given the official word from your dealer that the bi modal exhaust will be available early April? I've not heard from my dealer since Mid Feb. They don't have a clue on when the bi modal exhaust is available in the west. I was hoping to get the exhaust fitted by late March, just before Easter break so I can take a long trip down south. If you do get your bi modal exhaust fitted soon, maybe attached a video so we all can hear what it sounds like!

I've not noticed any front end play when accelerating as you mention above. I haven't even noticed the reversing lights at night but will check it next time. I'm loving my Stinger and haven't really gone "full throttle" yet. I have to make sure I have enough funds set aside for speeding fines.

Dealers would not know if their bums were on fire. Don’t believe anything they say. The forum is the word of the knights that say “Stinger “ and the truth.! Tell the dealers their father was a hamster and their mothers stink of elderberries lol.

Dealer says it should be ready on the 6th April. Getting a tow bar as well to prevent idiots parking too close and damaging car. Perhaps I’m a tad precious?
