Anyone Replace Their Side Mirror Covers?

Tried doing the mirror caps today now one of my mirrors won't move. Everything is still connected, can hear the motor running as well. Maybe the mirror isn't sitting where it needs to be to work with the motor, idk? Of course it's the driver side one too. Passenger side works completely fine. Not sure what happened?

Take the mirror back off and reinstall it or see if you can move it enough for it snap back on the motor housing.
It sounds like it is clipped in but not on the motor housing. You should put the mirror in the extreme down position before removing so it clips on easier when its reinstalled.

It's still off, have taken it off cuz it doesn't wanna move. Put it in the extreme down position to remove it. Like I said passenger side went on fine and works, driver side not so much, what else could I be doing wrong?

Seems like every position it's not on there properly. Not sure what I did on the passenger side but that went on no problems. When u put the mirror back on is there a side top or bottom that should be pushed in first maybe?

Also, should I be seeing the motor thing moving when the glass is not on there? The big circle piece?

Cuz I hear the motor but I'm not seeing anything actually moving. How much force is necessary to get this back on? Need to be able to drive the car tonight. Had I know this was gonna be this difficult I woulda waited until the weekend damn.

Update:
It's on but the mirror seems really loose. Got the mirror to move too but I feel like it's not on 100%, something ain't right.

I have had mine off a few times to replace the signal assembly behind the cap, put even pressure on the mirror and kind of rock it back and forth. You should feel it snap into place and it wont move anymore. Did any of the plastic clips on the mirror break or bend?

I think I might've pushed too hard cuz there were 2 little tab things broken off from somewhere. Probably exactly what you mentioned. It seems to be on there, unless you try to move the edge with your fingers, then it wants to move.

Drove the car tonight and it seemed fine, we'll see after I run it through the car wash. If it holds after that I'll just leave it, fingers crossed.
