Anyone have similar transmission issues?

My transmission has gone into 5th gear limp mode twice now. The CEL came on and had a P270900 Shift Control Solenoid Valve "F" Electrical (8LR/B) code. First time I took it to the dealer they said that since the code was in the history and not active they couldn't really do anything about it. The second time it happened I took it into the dealer and after 3 days they claim to still be "diagnosing" the problem.

Anyone else have that code come up or know what might be going on? Seems to me that they really don't know what they're doing lol.

No probs here have you taken it to the a different dealer?
No just one as of right now. To make things worse they gave a rental and I got to choose between a minivan and a full sized pickup lol.

I'd take the truck. I've done the mini van enough.
 
If they did the TSB for the trans logic "reflash" (lingo, I presume, for slapping what's wrong between the trans and ECU 'puter stuff), you might be experiencing what a few complained on here last year about how their Sport went all dud on them after the reflash. No difference between Sport and anything else; all rather dud. But no code came up with regards to the "fix", so probably not the same thing. Complexity is strong with these cars. It's all Juju to me.

Don’t let the dealer off the hook by going to a different one. Call the premium hotline and demand they step in. The dealers that are inept or simply lazy cannot be rewarded. Make them work with Corp to fix the issue.
 
So just an update. My GT is still at the dealer and this pickup really sucks! They have been being advised by techline (not sure exactly what that is). They were told to oxidize the connections and after doing that and test driving that did not resolve the issue. Then they swapped out the TCM with one on another GT and test drove it and that seemed to resolve the issue but techline wanted them to test drive it more to make sure. What pisses me off is that if that does fix the problem they will then have to order a new TCM and install/test it while I'm still stuck with this damn pickup lol.

Why not take the TCM and run? Let them replace the one they cannibalized.
 
Ok so they said it will take 4-6 weeks to get a new TCM from Korea and they cannot use one from another GT. Really, 4-6 weeks you've got to be kidding me! What are my options at this point? VIP line, is that worth trying?

Wow, that really really sucks man. I have an apt with the dealership on Monday cuz my AC doesnt work. I'm already cringing at their response.

Their choice. Evidently they would rather keep their car ready to sell, instead of pleasing a customer who has already bought one. :rolleyes:
 
Ok so call me crazy but yesterday I went and bought a GT1 and traded in my GT that's still in the shop lmao! Got an amazing deal on a new GT1 that I couldn't pass up and I've been kicking myself not getting it in the first place with all those added features.

That was a solution I didn't see coming. I hope you have a wonderful relationship with your GT1. :thumbup:
