Ran into a new issue today. Got off the interstate and pulled into a restaurant. I was driving around looking for a spot to park and heard this awful sound. Sounded liked I was dragging a metal pole. Crawled around, but didn't see anything. Drove to an empty lot and it seemed to be coming from the passenger brake area. It was this awful loud grinding/squeeling sound. I was 0.5 miles from a Kia dealer, but they were closed for Christmas Eve. Luckily I was right beside an auto service place that was open. Drove over slow with awful sounds coming from the front and had them take a look. Took the wheel off and took them a few minutes to get out this big rock that was larger than a quarter but smaller than a half dollar. It had lodged itself between the back shield and rotor or back shield and some piece there behind the rotor. They laughed and said it was just an unlucky rock and a pretty rare thing. But not sure what I would have done of they had not been there. Super nice guys. They didn't charge me but I gave them $40 cash for their troubles. I guess I know what to do in the future if this happens. I'm just glad they were there and actually open on christmas. I would not have driven far on that noise because it was bad.
They had never seen the Stinger and we're interested in it. They said it looked great though. I thanked them again and headed back on my way. Just a strange event on my Christmas Eve travels.
