Anyone else in Canada have problems registering UVO with their Stinger?

Hello fellow Canucks!

Has anyone else had issues registering on myuvo.ca? I'm getting the message "Please enter a valid VIN" in red... I've called Kia Canada customer assistance centre and they tell me it will take up to 24 hours to get a response from their IT department...

You're not the only one. I know of at least one other person having the same problem...
 
I am also currently having that issue. I phoned customer service last Wednesday, and I'm still waiting. The person I was speaking with said she had never heard of this issue before ... and that the "UVO guy" was on vacation and another department was taking over in his absence.

i registered mine successfully with the first try. As i remember from my dealer, the e-mail address has to be the same one the sales person registered the car with Kia Canada. You may want to confirm the e-mail address you gave the dealer. BTW, i found UVO Intelligence is somewhat slow. it takes almost a full minute for it to come back with the status of the car (locked, windows closed, etc.). Also tried using it to lock my car when it's in the garage. it took about 20 odd seconds for the lock command to actually execute. Please post your experience once you've successfully registered your car. Thanks.

i registered mine successfully with the first try. As i remember from my dealer, the e-mail address has to be the same one the sales person registered the car with Kia Canada. You may want to confirm the e-mail address you gave the dealer.

Unfortunately we don't get to the screen where you enter email information, the first registration screen only asks for the VIN and a nickname for your car. That first screen says that my VIN is invalid, and I can't proceed - even though the UVO support folks have confirmed that I've entered the VIN correctly (via screenshot) and that my VIN is definitely registered in their system.
 
I just registered today, but I did it while having the USB plugged into the car with UVO attempting to connect to my phone
 
They finally resolved the issue with my account this morning - hopefully they get yours hooked up too Mikey!
 
Awesome! Just tried mine again... no dice... :( I guess I'll have to wait for the phone call...
Wow, they are slow! I would get all squeaky wheel on that business - if you have your case number (from an email) then you can email them back and ask about the status, or just call 'em up again and say "Hey, I hear you're fixing this for some other folks already, am I up next?".

Got the call from them this morning... I’m all set now... they had to “reset” something...
I can see myself using the vehicle status a lot... I’m always asking myself if I locked the car or not...
there is about a 20 second delay when asking to start the car... never had a car starter before... neat!D4712EB8-E2A1-4D2F-8768-3D4B0C333926.webp
 
I am just trying to register now. For those of you who were successful...what is the registration number that it asks for?

Same here, I will call the dealership after the weekend
