Any High mileage, stingers out there?

I'm at 187000 miles replaced battery. All good have another 13000 left on drivetrain all is good.
Gunner Have you done any carbon mitigation like Walnut blasting or anything to clean the carbon off the valves etc. or if you just let it go and car still runs good?

Well, after my post in Sept saying all was well, my transmission ate itself at 115,000 miles. I have heard that some were underfilled from the factory. Mine was about 5 qts low and had never been opened or leaky. So...I am awful at calling people, but I had hoped to make Kia aware of this and see what they had to say. I'm out about 7k for the trans replace, and apparently that wasn't even new. Fml. Still love this car, though.

In addition to the previously reported liftgate and aircon issues, when I went to refuel on the weekend I discovered that the fuel filler flap wouldn’t open. So I had to crawl into the trunk via the back seats to use the manual release for that as well. Now concerned that the failure of three power things in quick succession might indicate an electrical issue.

Hope it's nothing. Obviously check the 10A fuse and go from there.

Ooooof. So sorry to hear. Sounds to me like that is manufacturing defect driven failures. Should be covered! Keep us posted

So that A-10 fuse did turn out to be part of the problem, although it was a casualty rather than a cause: the liftgate latch had shorted, and as a result it blew the fuse, incapacitating the fuel flap. All fixed now, and I had them run a full diagnostic on the electrical system to make sure there weren’t any other lurking issues that I’d not discovered yet.

Awesome, did they have to replace the liftgate latch or what was the correction that fixed the latch?

Yes, they replaced the liftgate latch.

Kia Stinger 2.0 Premium 2018 Aurora Black. 152,000 miles. I bought it new in 2018 and I just recently went back to all my receipts and put together a service log of the performed maintenance and repairs. Only 2 issues put the car into the shop and those were both due to a recalled high pressure fuel pump. I am in touch with Kia to get those repairs all reimbursed ($3,600).

Looks like you're going with the severe maintenance schedule. How much did the automatic transmission refill, coolant exchange, and brake fluid refill cost?

Without looking at the receipts, I would guess around 1000 to 1500 for those major maintenance visits. I honestly let the dealership drive what needed to be done on the car. I've recently moved and the local Kia dealership is pretty hands off and I suspect that I will now need to be more involved on what work is being done to the car.

What is your typical maintenance schedule look like?

I just replaced my rear diff fluid and transmission drain & fill at 90,000 miles. Transmission guy said my fluid looked good and I could probably go to 200,000 before another drain and fill. I'm due for a spark plug change at 100,000 (last changed at 60,000).
