If you don't read anything after this sentence, I highly recommend Ancira Kia.
I already wrote about the negative experience I had at World Car Kia North in San Antonio, Texas and why I did not end up buying from that dealership. After that experience, I was content on keeping my Q50 Red Sport 400 AWD. Kelly at Ancira Kia asked that I also visit. I chose to visit World Car Kia North first, because it was closest to my house. I explained that I had a terrible experience at World Car Kia and was going to keep my car. She asked to give Ancira a try. Kelly said if she is not professional and offer me a fair deal, I can leave. Plus, I had already filled in the information about my trade in and allowed Ancira to do a credit check. Kelly kept reinforcing we are not World Car Kia and I think we can reach a deal. I realized I was generalizing World Car Kia to all Kia dealerships.
So, I visit mid afternoon on a Friday. Ancira Kia had a GT, GT1, and 3 GT2's. I said I really did not want the vehicle in white. She said that is fine. We test drove a Red GT with black trimmed leather. I really liked it. We also test drove a Black GT2 with Black leather, also great. We focused on reaching a deal on a GT2. While I could afford the GT2, I also wanted to have lesser monthly payments than I had with my current car. We ran leases and financing. No matter how we did the numbers it would be more than I wanted to pay. Kelly said she had a GT1, but it is in white. I read in several places that GT1 is the best deal on the GT varieties -- I think Car and Driver. While I did not like the color, the numbers were in a very good range.
At first, Ancira Kia low balled on the trade in, but then came very close to what I could sell the car for at Carvana and the KBB value.
So, I ended up taking the color I did not want, but ended up liking White more and more as I drive it. The deal was good, not great.
Ancira was professional. Kelly was patient, knowledgeable, and respectful, an excellent listener. She has checked in on me about 5X since I purchased the vehicle to make sure I am happy. She also got me the darkest tint allowed by TX state law as part of the deal. The general manager was nice and professional. And, the finance department was good.
