Am I being picky on this fitment?

I got a set of CF hood vents and when installed the driver's side vent sticks up in the front like 2cm its very noticeable compared to the passenger side that sits almost flush with the hood.

I was told this is normal fitment and I'm being too picky, what do you think?

I tend to be very OCD about installing car parts evenly and having proper fitment. I’d have to agree that the driver side sticking up compared to the flush passenger side isn’t satisfactory especially for the price I’m assuming you paid.($$)

Is there something on the bottom of the driver side one blocking it from sitting in more flush?

Get a dremel and adjust/grind as needed. I rarely expect aftermarket parts (or even factory parts not installed at the time of assembly) to fit perfectly.

That, and I think you meant 2mm, not 2cm, lmao
