I am running stock tires (225 45 18 / Bridgestone) on my 22' 2.5t AWD Stinger. I really do like the OEM wheels on the Stinger. It is my daily and I drive normal but on occasion like to feel the turbo boost. :) Yes, I need something that can be good in both wet/dry/snow. I am done with having dedicated summer wheels - had them for my previous cars. The Stinger... first time I am just wanting to keep it simple. Should I stick with the same tire size as I have NO plans to do aftermarket rims. So... any thoughts on optional tire size that will fit my OEM 18" wheels? If different than 225 45 18.... like to know the benefits of going to a different size on stock wheels. Thanks in advance.

We have the same stock tires. Ima not inclined to mess around with wider ones, since A/S suit for winter driving 95% of the time around here and I am super careful if any amount of guck starts to accumulate. Wider is not a benefit under those conditions, in fact is a detriment to traction. I didn't answer your question. Just offered my opinion on this subject of wider or not. I do know that you can go up to 245 wide on our 8" wheels.

Ditto, leaving it stock with the factory offsets tire sizes and have no plans to drive it much in winter weather. Ditching the Pilot Sports for a for
a set of Conti AS next week for a better road feel as the Pilots have a tendency to lose grip when it gets cold. I read somewhere that the Pilots
turn into bowling balls in the winter. That said we still want to drive it and not have to worry about traction issues in inclement weather should
we get caught in it. Stick with the stock size. Just my opinion.

I had the same conundrum; Stock tires, track tires, rain tires, snow tires... too many tires. So here's what I decided:

-Wider tires are more prone to hydroplaning so don't go wider unless you get a great deal on some 235s.

-Snow tires compromise wet and dry traction no matter what you buy, so decide how much snow driving do you do? I decided to sell my snow tires as it only snows 1-2 weeks here and I don't NEED to drive in the snow as I WFH.

I was shopping for the Cross Climate2 at first, but settled on the Pilot Sport AS4 because I drive in the rain a lot, and in the snow only for fun. The AS4 is snow capable but one of the best in the rain.

Another useful option is getting larger OD tires for more ground clearance. I had 225/55r18 (OD-27.7") snow tires, the largest that fit under the stock suspension. The extra inch of clearance helps with snow piling at the bumper and is less likely to scoop water with the bottom cover/aero.

Keep in mind taller tires/more sidewall will make the cars steering less sharp and roll more in tight corners. Shouldn't be an issue if you drive safe but it might take you by surprise the first few times you need to pass someone.

I'm getting down to 1 set of street capable track/summer tires (AD09) and 1 set of snow capable rain tires (PS AS4). I think I did 8 wheel changes this year, should be down to 2 going forward.

Good luck :)

The latest Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 are the best you can get right now in this size. They are VERY close to winter tires in snow performance. But miles ahead in the wet and at high temperatures. Not sure if they are available in the US though.

I have just gotten them on my Gt Line - 225/40R19 and 255/35R19. At 15 celsius they feel very sharp and extremely close to my Goodyear F1 Asym6 that I use for summer (on the same size OEM wheels). At 0 celsius they are also great, sharp and quiet. I am very happy with them after 5k km.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I've been very happy with my General G-MAX AS-07 UHPAS tires.

Thanks for everyone's input. I just did my front/rear brakes (I installed Bendix Priority 1 Ceramic) and will be looking for tires....hopefully there will be some good deals during the holidays.
