5 things I hate about my Stinger GT

I know something I dislike, not hate.....................the wireless charger is tooooooooo small! My phone does not even begin to fit in that hole

my only issue is visibility is pretty horrible. granted the car I got immediately after this was a 96 impala and I can see the moon with my eyes closed from it, but other than that, I can probably fix any short comings

Agree on that, my hubbies camaro is horrible to see out of. Going from my rav4 to the stinger yep harder to see, but you can see what you need to see. Small back window.
We did a 1.5 hour ride to our favorite restaurant over on Kent Island for carry out. Decided to go just to try out the new wheels. I know this is a dislike thread but one thing I like, it beeps if someone is in your blind spot and you try to change lanes, the rav just blinked the light on the mirror.
I let hubby drive home so I could play with the settings while reading the quick start book.

I hate the fact that I cannot just flip up my wipers. I was not aware of that and almost scratched the hell out of the hood when I went to flip them up. Maybe others had this covered in delivery? It is the first time I have had a vehicle with that issue and I feel it is a big enough item that it should have been covered.

I LOVE the look of the Camaro but I prefer to own the Stinger. Agreed it has a small back window but I have come from a Jeep to my current Stinger and it really isnt a huge problem seeing out the back window for me. I also like that it makes a sound if I want to change lanes and there is another car that I might not have seen. Enjoy your car! :)

Yup I scuffed my hood with that feature.

I was lucky to have members on this forum tell me about that before finding out the hard way myself when I first bought the car. The dealership mentioned nothing about it.

I have a sticker on the windshield, still sitting there until I get around to paying attention to it. About what you need to do to lift the wipers.

Maybe we need what do you love about your stinger! I noticed the rain sensing wipers were more responsive than the ravs rain sensing wipers. It rained on the way home............how dare it and get my car dirty!

- pushing a button to open gas cap
- no wireless android
- remote button to open all windows on a hot day
- rear boot lid sometimes closes after opening wacking me on the head
- rear boot lid wont close if something is there is a small obstruction
- wont remember Smart driving mode
- lack of equivalent idrive controller knob(always thought this was so easy to use)
- no setting to disable or increase time for reverting back to automatic mode from manual

Though I love the look of the red leather seats in my Stinger, they aren't practical for me personally and I hate hopping in the car during summer wearing shorts and burning the hell out of my legs. I hate the seat cooling because I don't feel that it adequately cools me. When I turn the seat coolers on the air makes it feels like my legs are sweating...not cooling. I have just purchased some black sheepskin seat "vests" to combat the problem. That's not specific to the Stinger though, as I generally prefer cloth on my car seats anyway.

I LOVE the look of the Camaro
You can see his 2013 camaro behind my stinger in my av picture. I have driven it, but don't like to. Always have issues with where is the nose of the car, just can't tell. here is a slightly better pic of it, has 15k miles, it is a 2013

One of my must haves when I was looking for a rav replacement, I love it! Always hot, cools me beautifully.

Nice looking car! ;) I also would not be comfortable driving one and I think we both made good decisions purchasing our Stingers.

I ended up placing 2 x 3" pieces of 3M door edge protection (linked) where the wipers would be pulled up if not in maintenance mode. Can't tell it's there (my Stinger is white) and it'll save the hood if I forget about putting them in maintenance mode before pulling up on them. I've also heard about maintenance mode 50 times now so I hope I don't forget. :p

Mostly repeats from others, but:

Small gas tank (I prefer to be able to skip Kansas on a single tank)
No proximity locks by default (fixed with module)
Poor rear visibility (Mitigated with SVM on the higher trim levels)
Built in remote start is junk, USA UVO is junk (Compustar + Drone Mobile is now a requirement)
A rear hatch thud when backing out of the driveway (Not bad, but hope it doesn't get worse, I remember what my Trans Am with T tops sounded like)
ISG needing a module to be perma disabled
Auto Hold needing a module to be perma enabled
Quantum Sound causing head unit crashes (Maybe fixed? Currently testing)

Your Auto Hold turns on automatically? Mine is persistent, only is on if I had it on when I shut the car off.

If you install the auto hold memory module and never shut auto hold off, it's effectively turned on automatically! (I brake softly when I don't want to use it.)
