5 things I hate about my Stinger GT

5 things I HATE about my Stinger:

1. Didn't come to the market earlier
2. Didn't come to the market earlier
3. Didn't come to the market earlier
4. Didn't come to the market earlier
5. Didn't come to the market earlier

That's good. I will ask the mechanic when I drop my car off for the fourth time to get them to try and fix my sunroof creaks. :geek:
Hey @Sushi. Just dropped the car off to get the sunroof "fixed" again and mentioned the map upgrade you talked about. As expected, no one had a clue what I was talking about, so good ol' Australia will probably be getting that upgrade in 2028 (if we get it at all). lol

Sorry to hear that mate. Unfortunately, the kia map website that I use is only for North America. I hope you guys get it before the end of the year.

The parking button is in dangerous position as my index finger whilst resting on the gear selector has accidently touched the button whilst I was parking causing the car to rock back and forward suddenly.

I like the fact that one touch unlocks only the drivers door. It provides security. If one touch also opened the passenger door, any gang banger could hop in the other side. Just press twice if you want your girl's door open. You're dead right about the AUTO START default and the small gas tank. My 4 cylinder averages over 30mpg, which gives me a range of about 400 miles. Pity those who have the V6 and drive mostly in the city.

1. Wtf. What’s the point of the UVO app. It does nothing? I can buy a 25,000 Hyundai Tuscan that gets remote start via Hyundai app. But the 54,000 Stinger nothing? Wake up Kia, makes 0 sense. Yeah yeah they are trying to distinguish between the 3 brands but come on. It’s embarrassing when someone asks how much the car stickers for and then they find out there’s no remote functions. Eeesh? Even the dealer said well it comes on the higher models of the cadenza and optima. I said isn’t this Kia’s most expensive car? Even he was surprised it had no remote abilities. For $53,000 we should receive the top level of the UVO functionality for 5 years.
Why Canada but not here? Do the cars have a different ECU?
Please make this car “smart” before winter comes.
2. No complimentary maintenance
3. Rear window view (but getting used to it)
4. Hate that everyone looks at me know cause the car is so beautiful, hahaha

You just need to clean the rubber with alcohol based chemical such as CarPro Eraser and dress the rubber with CarPro Pearl, its not the manufacturer fault

Not sure I agree with that. It’s the same on both sides which leads me to believe the compound is slightly different, likely because the small darker piece makes a tight turn. No reason the pieces would oxidize equally on both sides if they are all the same chemical makeup. I detail cars on side and will see what dressing does.
Thanks for your input. :)

No factory remote start on an automatic is pretty cheap for the price asking
Transmission needs more fine tuning for a sports car - sharper more aggressive shifting is needed
Exhaust is pretty tame.
Accelerator is pretty soggy in comfort mode.

This car seems to be more targeted as a family car for guys who never had a chance to experience a sports car.

Agreed, the Stinger is not a sports car or a super car its by definition a sporty grand turismo with brutal acceleration for its price.

Factory remote start would be nice. I've owned lesser cars with that feature.

Says a lot about our cars when someone who has owned a 911, Ferrari, Lambo & R8 V10+ thinks a 13 sec. vehicle has "brutal acceleration".

No, I don't much care for the fact that you have to push a button to open the gas cap. Other cars you can push on the cap itself and it will pop open, or there is a latch. To me it is just one more little thing that can get stuck and become a PITA
I have a old prius you need to push a button to open the gas cap, it is still working great. No issues.

I have not had the car long enough to have a I don't like list.
