2023 Stinger GT2

Confirmation of the loss of the GT1 trim as well, and the $45,930 GT-Line with every package and option ticked. I agree with you with the notion most people would rather buy a car from Audi etc. over a Stinger at these prices.

It's kind of sad to see it down to just two trims. And the fully optioned GT-Line is now more expensive than I paid for my GT1 in 2018.

I have to give Kia a kudos for what they've added to the bottom of the page though. There's a bunch of pics of customized Stingers from people's IGs. Pretty cool to see Kia acknowledging the personalized cars. Ya don't see that too often.

Man it is soooooooo disappointing to see the GT1 trim dropped. What a shame. This news solidifies my opinion that 2023 will be the last year for the Stinger.

Damn, glad I got my GT1 when I could. Couldn't justify/afford the cost for the GT2 but still wanted the 3.3L.

reading here that they are dropping the GT1 line pisses me off. I bought mine thinking it had all the standard features that prior year GT1 did like ac seats, memory seat location and premium stereo. So they change the package for 1 year and then drop the line all together, couldn't have left the gt1 alone in 2022 and let me get my Harmon Karden stereo, booooo KIA.

I just put a deposit on a 2023 Stinger that should be landing next week. Anybody know if there are any changes from 22 to 23? Heard screen is different, brakes are upgraded because of current issues. Can't find a single thing online.
No major difference unless you get the touring edition with the suede interior, black mirrors, exhaust tips and rims

^^^Welcome. Five hundred bucks for Ceramic silver?? Somebody said that was a real thing, but this is the first visual confirmation I've seen. I bet that other colors say the same thing: looks like a primer coat would not cost you anything "additional". Hah.

That unfortunately isn't new for the 2023 model year and some colors have cost extra for a few years. In a previous year they made the red interior option also cost about 300 bucks extra which used to be a no cost option. KIA keeps finding ways to hike up the price of the Stinger, but judging from the slimmed down trims and special edition packages for 2023 this will be the final year.

Weird that the suede interior package leaves the center armrest and shifter cover leather.

Suede wears mostly from the oils of your skin, realistically, it makes sense to keep it leather in the places that peoples skin touches the most besides the steering wheel.

It's for this very reason that I've never understood why people want alcantara steering wheels instead of leather.

Alcantara Grips a LOT better than leather does, so if your hands where to get sweaty on the track, less worry of the wheel slipping. Not really applicable on the road I know, but the road is a lot more bumpy than most tracks, so if you know how to clean it properly than it makes sense.

But can it really be cleaned properly? I know people (usually the ones selling the wheel or cleaning products) say it can but is that really true?

*Edit: I've just seen some pretty impressive before and after pics on Amazon for certain alcantara cleaners. I'm kind of surprised. I always figured once it got dirty it was ruined.

It can, but the older it gets, the tougher it is. Its best to have a routine for cleaning it that you know you can do at least once a month or so.

I don't understand why everyone is stating the gt line as 45+. I paid 37+ for my 22 with the whole package, which had the wide sunroof and 15 speaker Harmon Karden system.

Well, for one we're talking about 23 Stinger pricing.

Two, that is the MSRP fully-loaded taken from Kia's website. We weren't discussing what someone may be able to negotiate the dealer down to. That's a horrible way to state car prices since it will vary from person to person.
