Been looking through all the threads but couldn't find anything for 2022+ exhaust tips with mbrp exhaust. Im looking at akrapovic but unsure on the right size.

Bump, I too am in the same boat. Been looking at ways to reduce cabin drone for the MBRP, one of the suggested ways is exhaust tips but haven’t been able to get clear answer on available products and sizing for the 2022+ models.

Have you guys tried the exhaust wrap trick? Supposed to send more noise out the back instead of letting it bounce back underneath the hatch area:

 
I tried the wrap before my tips arrived. yes, it works, but it's one of the foulest substances I've ever dealt with. fiberglass shards everywhere. It was also difficult to get it to stay in place. And this is with the smaller tips on the 2018-2021 cars. on a '22 it'd be even more tape and more difficult to keep in place.

This is what I ordered based off another thread.
So the TL;DR for this is tip size for MBRP catback on the 2022+ Stinger is an inlet of 63mm, with an outlet of 105mm x 130mm.

Appreciate it, I’d be curious to hear about your experience with them and also how it affects the sound
/drone for you!

Obviously round tips would require cutting due to different shape, but I’m assuming any other modifications for that sizing would be due to the difference in the 18-21 setup?

Trying to figure out the exact sizing and setups for the 2022+ models though (specifically for MBRP catback combo) as there’s less info out there than the 18-21 models…definitely not interested in cutting the bumper. One of the reasons I’m looking into tips vs resonators is because I don’t want to cut anything.

63mmx4.5in round will have to cut and trim the opening
 
really helpful, thinking of getting either the MBRP or the Borla tbh, how is the sound when starting the car in comfort mode, is it noticeably louder??
I have mbrp and it's not noticably louder. Borla might be more. But with exhaust tips, it should almost sound like stock I think. Waiting on mine to come in from china to install the tips.
 
the MBRP is louder than stock, for sure. Stock is practically inaudible inside the car. you hear a nice purr from the MBRP even with the tips.

As some mentioned, it’s most definitely noticeable. I have the MBRP catback and love the sound outside the car, but the interior is too loud with too much drone in my opinion… and that’s not even in sports mode, hence I’m looking at getting tips in hopes of keeping the growl while keeping the rest out of the cabin, or at least reduce the levels a bit.

Man, did MBRP mess up the 2022+ exhausts somehow? I see more of a demand for tips on their exhaust versus the 2022+ Borlas.

Although I could likely chalk that up to more people owning the MBRP exhaust versus the Borla, since MBRP was on sale almost a year earlier (if memory serves me right).
 
any exhaust on the stinger needs tips to eliminate drone, unless you pipe it all the way out without replacing the tips. it's just the design of the car and the hatchback that cause drone if the sound isn't piped all the way out. even the stock exhaust would drone if it was louder. that gap between the muffler exit and the fake tips allows the sound to resonate and create drone.

Yeah, it's funny to me how MBRP, Borla, etc all claim their systems don't drone. I get drone with the Borla as well. Its not unbearable for me, and it's only under specific conditions, but it's there.

I'm just surprised that the search for 2022+ exhaust tips seems to come from MBRP owners moreso than Borla owners. I wish I could test the systems back to back and see which one truly droned more. I would have expected MBRP to have less drone than Borla. I thought that was the whole point of MBRP equipping their exhausts with the helmholtz resonators.

Ultimately these aftermarket exhausts should have just designed longer pipers to match the stock system.
