2022 Front badge removal

I have confirmed, there are no posts. It is just a sticker on the surface and can be removed. It is on there pretty good though and is made out of metal, so it likes to cut through the floss/fishing wire, so be prepared to take your time and use very small amounts of heat.
Hair dryer works great, not too hot but enough to warm up the tape for removal, take your time and direct heat on the emblem only, it'll come off with no damage. I've been Debadging new cars since,... well forever with never any paint damage. Be patient Grasshopper! Use the firm flexible plastic Bondo or putty applicators as you heat it, lifting upwards as you go, try using 2.

Good to know, I just purchased a 2022 stinger and was wondering if there were posts on front/rear badge. Thank you
What badges are you thinking of putting instead?

I saw a picture today of one with no badge on the front... looks so nice.

I don't mind the front badge so much. I want to remove the rear KIA badge and stinger badge (as well as the dealer sticker) off my 2022 and get the bigger stinger badge. Does the rear badge have screws or also just stickered?

Here is the badge I wanted to put on the back....

How would I properly level the badge and make sure its centered? Any tips/tricks?

Did anyone remove the REAR 2022 badge? I am having a bitch of a time getting it off. The fishing line constantly breaks on me. Got the smaller stinger and awd badges off pretty easy...

EDIT: nevermind, got it off

Can you please reply or message me with details re: removal of the 2022 front emblem?
I'd love to see pics and receive tips from someone who has successfully removed it.
I want to remove it entirely and NOT cover it with a new emblem, so I need to do it perfectly the first time.

Don't have any pics currently but best tips I can offer are to spray some Goo Gone on the badge and let it soak in for a few. Take some fishing line, preferably with each end wrapped around something other than your fingers and slowly start sawing back and forth. The fishing line will likely break a few times but eventually you'll get through. Removing the adhesive after the badge is gone should be simple.

Mine came with the dealer name applique on the rear. Asked them to remove it during detailing.. Of course it was still on there. Fortunately it came off relatively easily as it was only on there for a few days and was of the static cling type. I don't know why dealers insist on this. Bad enough having their name on the license plate frame.

Carmax is even worse, theirs is a sticky/adhesive backed sticker.

I just used fishing line and a bit of heat from a hair dryer. The KIA badges are stuck on pretty good, so you're going to break the line quite a bit. Once off, a lot of glue will be stuck to the car. I sprayed the glue with WD-40. Let that sit about 10 minutes, then carefully pulled the big chunks of glue off with my fingers and thumb. Once most of the glue was off, I then used a cloth with a little bit of WD-40, on the cloth, to get the rest of the residue off. Then I washed it with some megueirs car soap, then I gave it a couple coats of wax, specifically I used the stage 1 and 2 mother's wax followed by a regular wax afterwards. Cleaned it up perfectly.

Does anyone know if the new 2021 kia stinger can be debadged front and back as i see some models has placement holes on the chasis for centering badges.

Sorry, I just read the last message you posted before. No, the model I have is the 2022, which has the big KIA letters instead of the circle badge. Circle badge on the 2021 models have the screw holes underneath.

Meanwhile in Australia on my July 21 built Stinger we still have crappy holes :-(

I am picking my new stinger from kia next week and im hoping the badges come off ok, was it hard getting them off? Have you took off the rear badges yet? Do you have links to new ones like the E
To be honest, I had the guys doing my ceramic coating take the badge off and I believe they using fishing line\floss but I was not there. When they found the holes I told them to hold off doing the rear. I had bought the new style badges that they have on the US 2022 model from ebay and they were appear to be genuine Kia parts.
