2019 on Kia.com

NO! This is terrible. I was waiting for the 2019 Premium because of the cooled seats.

Is there any chance this is a typo, or are we pretty sure that the current Kia site is correct? If not, might just swoop up a 2018...

Lets give the site a couple weeks to settle. I remember discussing the 2018 with my friend last year and the site changed between when I looked and when I showed it to him. There may still be hope!

Damn! The 360 camera is available only on the GT2!?!? I'm leaning more toward another Optima SXL all the time. I absolutely love the 360 camera and have come to use it all the time ... parallel parking, getting centered between the lines in regular parking, maneuvering in tight places, etc.

Not having it on the lower trim levels of the Stinger is a huge disappointment. :(

Um Mike...., your equipment package is on the top trim in the Optima range, the Stinger Premium isn't the top trim in the Stinger range. You got the top spec Optima, the GT2 is the one you really should get.
:)

Things may change on the site however, it is not unheard of for manufacturers to add options and remove others while keeping the price down. You are getting the safety package but losing other features.

The GT2 is still being offered at a bargain price with all the incentives and dealer discount, if you want one, now is the time to get one.

So, you are right. However (and I know this may not have many fans on here), some of us would prefer the smaller engine for various reasons, and then there is no way to get the cool stuff (HUD, ventilated seats, power trunk, 360 cam etc...). It's too bad there isn't a more simple option structure (like the 370Z has): a 2X2 grid, performance stuff (YES / NO) on one axis and interior luxury/tech stuff (YES / NO) on the other axis.

That way, nobody gets left out and Kia can sell exactly what people want to each buyer. I'd happily pay extra for an HUD and power trunk, but I can't with the 2-liter engine.

I could not pass up the deal I just got from my local Kia dealership. $41k for lease on a 2018 gt2 awd. Walked out the door just making the first payment and that’s it.

The USA Kia website has 2019's on it now with pricing and configuration. No lease deals and they have added Panthera Metal as a color for the GT2 and Red interior is now available on a white exterior for the GT2.

According to the specs, the GT1 does NOT have cooled seats as was previously rumored. That was the main reason why I was waiting for a 2019. Now it seems like I might be better off geting a 2018 GT2 for a good deal instead.

I just did the same, $40K RWD GT2. I wish it had the 360 cam but the deals were too good on the '18.

Got an 18 Premium, but I really wanted a car with ventilated seats. Wonder how it would cost me to trade in my 18 for a 19? Might have to give my dealer a call...

19 doesn't show it has ventilated seats on the website.

SVM, wireless charger and heated rear seats cost $790 extra...Not too shabby eh!

Yeah they must have been updating it as we were looking at it. That's a relief, because I really want a GT1 with cooled seats!

Website is one thing, the actual cars that come in is another. There are typically Launch Editions that have options that aren't listed on the website as well as some that could come with packages different that the site. We will have to wait until they start showing up at the dealers to know for sure and even then the first batch might be equipped/priced differently than the website.
