yeah i saw that one, i installed it, seemed to help with the lagginess while using my S22 ultra. AA is still f&*%ed though so i guess its the june update that will fix it.

PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. Fingers crossed, it's been a long time coming.
the MAY 2022 update just brought the stinger in line with the new vehicles like the Cerato... the JUNE 2022 update is actually a new update.

Just downloaded the 2022/05/31 update from Kia update site, over 6 GB and took about 30 minutes to download. If you have the update program as an icon on your desktop it will not give you the new version, you have to download the updated version of the download program first. Have not been through it all as yet but one noticeable change is that it turns the forward camera on when you select drive, the same as it previously turned the reversing camera on when you selected reverse. You also don't have to update through the menu. As soon as you insert the updated card it does it all by itself

According to the website theJune 22 update will be for the widescreen (Gen5W) versions on the 21-22 stingers. The May update was the update for the pre MY21 non-widescreen systems (Gen5).
The Gen5W version did get a software update a couple of months ago (the version currently on the website) but the map software was still May21.
im talking about the widescreen update, the widescreen versions also had a MAY22 update as well. The june update will be to fix the AA issues.
I don't think the widescreen version had an update, I did an update about a month ago and downloaded this latest one and when I try to upgrade it says it's the same version.
it did...i did it on mine, version now ends in 913 unless the 913 update has been available for a very long time. Regardless there will be a new update in June to fix the widescreen AA issue.

Yes the 913 update was a software only update for the widescreens that was available back in late Feb22. It fixed any issue some were having with schools zone alerts etc not working from the May 21 update (maybe some other fixes too?). There was no navigation update with this 913 software update so the maps remain unchanged from the May 21 update.

Are there no map updates for Australian MY22 Stingers? Mine is an Aug '21 build.

Looks like Aussie Navigation update has just dropped for the MY21 and onwards Stinger (widescreens 5W).
Seems like there is also different software for the MY21-22 and MY22 stingers (assume old vs new KIA badged vehicles maybe)?

wonder if it fixes the widescreen AA issue. The new badged Kias most likely use different chips due to the chip shortage so a new/different firmware would have to be made for them.
I would test the update today but i have covid so im locked in my apartment lol
I'm downloading now and will test in an hour or so and let you know.

This is in reference to the US 2022_05 or 2022_06 update.
I vaguely recall being able to key in the destination while moving with the apr 2021 update. Now it locks that out and only allows voice searches.
