I am putting under hood strip light accent on my grandson's Kia Stinger. I need to know which wire in the headlight wiring harness is the running lights in the headlight assembly so I can tap it for the accent light to come on when you start the car. it would be nice to know what color the ground is also. Is there a diagram available to show the wiring color layout for the headlight harness on a 2019 Kia Stinger?

Good Question, It depends exactly what you are wanting to wire them up to turn on with, as well as which trim of the car your grandson has, as the Base - GT1 trims have a diffrent wiring harness than the GT2 does. This Guide to installing running lights gives you a good starting point for both harnesses, as well as I have tapped the front lights to runs some other things as well, so I may be able to answer some stuff that those instructions dont cover.

When your lights are in auto and the sensor is in day mode, DRL is energized, when the sensor activates headlights at night Parking is energized.
Ignition is on the entire time the ignition is in on I believe.

I’ve confirmed this pin out on my 2019 GTS. There are definitely differences with non LED light Stingers.

Hello, this photo is very nice. It helped a lot!
Could you make the complete file (PDF) available?

I may have saved everything I found during my research. I’ll take a look this weekend. I have the service manual too. I’ll see if I can copy that page.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Couldn’t find anything I saved other than the edited photo.

I did discover a new detail though. Having the DRLs powered from the parking light allows me to select that on the headlight stalk so I only have the headlight DRLs and the CK71s on during the day.

The drawback is the headlight DRLs are powered at only 50% in that switch position.

Hi.
I have a Kia Ceed 2021 which has normal headlight with projector and I would like to upgrade it to a LED one. I dont know if those will work, because the old lamp has no 10 and 14 PIN, but the new one has. What does stand for the 10/14 PINs? I dont really understand it. Will it work if I just plug it? Or what will I miss without the 10 & 14 PINs?
